I can't say I was the biggest "Full House" fan. I liked it when it first came out, but as I got older it got cornier to me. It was so sanitized and Leave it to Beaver-ish that I couldn't get into it once I reached the age of about twelve. Now, those characteristics do make it an excellent family show, just don't expect tween and teen boys to like it.
Even the cool guy, Uncle Jesse (John Stamos), wasn't cool anymore when I got older. And Danny Tanner (Bob Saget) and Uncle Joey (Dave Coulier) were NEVER cool.
The show lasted eight seasons so they had to be doing something right, and I'm sure "Full House" helped Bob Saget get the AFHV gig.
