I should have known that going in. Whenever someone stars in a horror movie like Sydney Sweeny stars in this, I know it's not what I wanted to see. I feel like they were trying to make this horror movie sophisticated. Not really so much about the jump scares or frightening images but a real disturbance of the nature of society, causing you to think about what really scares you. That's ok but I do want to jump out of my seat when I see a Horror film in theatres. I like Sweeny in it. Not gonna lie, I'm one of those guys who thinks about one thing when I hear Sweeny's doing a movie and her efforts to change that are not bad. Oddly enough I liked her last effort the romantic comedy Anything But You better than I liked Immaculate, which I feel is trying to be smarter than it needs to be and for that missed the mark of what its supposed to be. Not to say it was not a so-so watch but it's definitely on the lower part of the list of movies I like this year.
