A great movie

This movie is great, even though it's about a disgusting man and tragic true events.

James Spader is an amazing actor and watching his old movies and shows, you can tell that he's always had a gift. That gift really shines through in this thriller-drama. He really brings this character to life, even though he was a living person, and you can really feel this young man's frustrations; how he feels obligated to help even though he doesn't want to and he's been manipulated into thinking that he has to. His demise is so tragic and it's terrible that he ended up being a sort of accomplice to murder, including the murder of a baby, when all he was trying to do was make sure his brothers were okay. His life got uprooted and his father killed several more people despite his best efforts.

Robert did a great job portraying this sick and twisted man. You were never sure if he was going to just suddenly decide to kill his sons or not. He was great at playing a character who gaslights, manipulates, and kills basically for sport. I can't imagine how hard it is to portray someone who is so monstrous that they would kill an innocent family and their baby; yet he did it incredibly well.

Stuart did a great job as well, playing an annoyed but loyal sidekick.

Eric and Lance were great all around too.

I would absolutely recommend watching this movie even though it does have some heavy stuff in it, it's still thoroughly enjoyable. Not too anxiety inducing but there are points where your hearts racing a little.

I'm glad the father got what he deserved, I just wish Donny had not been so unlucky.
