I've just completed the entire season, and I can't help but feel that this spinoff is rushed. Significant characters are quickly disposed of, leaving little room for intrigue. Despite being absent for years, Rick fails to even mention his former family. The explanation for the brainwashing subplot feels too brief. Overall, a greater number of episodes with more thorough explanations would have made more sense. The sporadic jumps to the past seem unnecessary; dedicating full episodes to those moments, akin to the approach in the original series, would have been preferable. Despite its flaws, I still found Nat's character compelling. The action sequences were well-executed, but character development was lacking. Michonne's decision to spare Rick seemed illogical given the circumstances. Michone, the old one would of have just killed this Rick off.
