This has to be THE worst book-to-movie conversion I have ever watched. I don't even think it deserves the same name. Chris' character was dumbed down so much from the once ladies man, drop out college student who got inspired and challenged by the professor to focus. Instead they made him the professor's son with no depth? In the book Kate's affection for him didn't occur until he saved her life from the 7 foot mold infested knight (which they took out all together)! I am use to dumbed down book-movies but this one takes the case. Michael Crichton is easily my favorite author. They didn't give this amazing exciting book the credit it deserved! Read the book.... You can thank me later!
