Be realistic

This is a pretty good movie with a couple of twists that make it different from similar ones. The acting isn't great, but it's okay since it is getting the message out. The main thing that I have a problem with this movie about, and I have a lot of times with other movies about drug addicts, as I am a recovering addict, and my first round of you saying I got clean and was totally clean from alcohol and everything, never smoked cigarettes or anything else that wouldn't get me high, I relapsed and was out there again for 10 years and got clean again. After having major surgery last year, had no choice but to take pain pills, did okay at first, then start abusing them and then buying them on the street. I have continue to abuse off and on for the last year, but have been back on track for about a month now. The main thing that aggravated me about this movie is it made it seem like the girlfriend just tying up the female addict and seeming as if it was only one night or 24 hours is laughable. You will withdraw for more than 24 hours, but the physical part of it is just a tip of the iceberg. I wish that they would consult with real life addicts before they make these kinds of movies. The psychological part is the worst part because you have to change your total way of thinking, and isolation at rehab for at least 30 days, for most people it takes more than that if they don't have the strength enough to cut off the bad influences. And I'm not going to debate this issue, because I know it to be facts from personal experience and experience with other addicts, addiction is a disease that it can be managed and put into remission but you are sobriety has to be maintained. Anyone watching this movie with just think that you can tie someone up for 24 hours while they withdrawal and that's all it takes to withdraw and that the person is all fixed now is ridiculous not to mention misleading to those who already don't understand addiction. You are never totally fixed, nor cured, it's a daily battle.
