Direction by #ShirshaGuhaThakurta is good and sensible with a very smart narrative style. Produced by Sameer Nair, Deepak Segal, #TanujGarg, #AtulKasbekar & Swati Iyer Chawla, this movie is the official remake of the hollywood film #TheLovers written & directed by #AzazelJacobs, which debates Marriage and arguably glories Infidelity as the better institution.
Performances by the lead protagonists #VidyaBalan & #PratikGandhi are superb with their intricate nuances, but the supporting leads #IleanaDCruz & #SendhilRamamurthy failed miserably to portray their parts. Cinematography by #KartikVijay is average and the editing by #BardroyBarretto could have been 10 minutes crisper. The screenplay renders mundane intermittently with monotonous sequences, barring some light moments though. The overall film seems to pace like a short film or a telefilm. The music is absolutely not good, and the background score is fair.
