I like Tim meadows. I like the mom actress (karate kid III; cameo in Cobra kai) .

Fine actors but lots of weakness in script and performances in this movie that I really wanted to like as the concept was good.

Experiencing loss of loved one, grief is different for everyone especially for a kid dealing with loss like a brother and His filming of funerals makes sense as his way to handle his grief. Gave a little "Harold and Maude" vibe (if anyone knows the movie

I found it a but unrealistic from beginning how a 11 year old, contacts a grown man stranger and hangs out with him. Ok, maybe the parents gave permission off screen but just felt creepy Meadows character clearly wasn't sharing much of his own life from beginning and there were hints he had his own grief but it was not given away at least in beginning

The main characters little girl "friend" was adorable and they made for a cute young couple. Think she was the best actor on film as she was the most authentic.

The parents clearly were also grieving and were disconnected and disconnected from each other and their son but felt very stilted performances. It improved little over time but still felt forced.

The unexpected episode with tim meadows certainly hit on main theme of threat of loss. Again the kid sees him at hospital and no parents there.

At the hospital NOW the parents know who he is...after the 11 year old has been hanging out with this adult man for most of the film

Would have made more sense if "chris" was the therapist as he basically was acting like one, helping him through grief and resuming "life", moving past his grief.

Then chris goes from what looked like a heart attack to hospice.... WHAT??? That was as clean change in show like a bad tv movie. That shift made no sense. Just seemed convienant to throw another death at this poor 11 year old who just had begun to move on from grief of loss of his brother

Chris looked pretty healthy for a dying guy and he became a deadbeat dad...of his own son.

Nice music...and did like how he was trying to bring everyone together toward the end. Amazing a guy on hospice was well enough to race around in a go cart.

Movie has a nice message within it and it did make me nudge rating little higher.

Nice chris gets to talk to his son, and not even see his son (?) now that he is dying.

Guess they didn't want to pay another actor so we dont get chance to hear or see his reunion with his own son.

And a picnic at their sons grave...ah everyones happy..i presume chris died though we didn't see it

very choppy movie..
