Grit 1924 - Lost Clara Bow Film
PamelaShort17 January 2015
Kid Hart's ( Glenn Hunter ) gangster father was murdered by the gang's leader Boris Smith ( Osgood Perkins ) because he had decided to give up crime for a living. Now Kid is brought up by the same East Side gang and from the result of a childhood firearms accident, he becomes a fear-filled coward. He wants to break away from the gang but feels unable, however another gang member, Orchid McGonigle ( Clara Bow ) has firmly resolved, she is going to break away. Together, Kid and Orchid engineer the rescue of Bennie Finkle ( Martin Borden ) from the gang and the two heroes find a new life of happiness together.

Grit was directed by Frank Tuttle and starred Glenn Hunter, being advertised as " The best vehicle for Glenn Hunter that has been released." At the time it received somewhat mixed reviews. It was Clara Bow's eighth film and unfortunately, remains lost.
