Fun Poverty Row Exotica!
gnok200225 November 2015
I am adding reviews for all films I've seen that so far lack one, this time I get a chance to review one I like, this was shown on satellite station information TV, the print was worn and only ran 60 minutes, review follows... This is an enjoyable slice of poverty row melodrama, into the swampland arrive an escaped convict, with a cop in pursuit, and ex resident honky-tonk dancer, perused by her sleazy manager, the convict falls for a local girl, and all is resolved by a link between the characters, but what makes this fun to watch is a good creation of the cut off world of the swampland, and the central performance of famous stripper Ann Corio, in her first film, she had another 4 exotic roles in the next 3 years, all worth a look; recommended as long as you like 40's poverty row films, Good!
