Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • Trusty gets badly injured by a cart.
  • Tramp is fighting other dogs. It's shown mainly by shadows only. The Tramp chases them all off. Tramp fights with a rat and kills it

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The scene where a dog in the pound is euthanized may be upsetting to those who have recently lost a pet or care about shelter animals. The dog is only shown going through a door, cheerful to be on a walk.
  • Lady gets muzzled, runs away in the streets, nearly run over by cars and carriages. She then runs into an alley on the wrong side of town, where she gets chased by three big stray dogs. Lady is cornered in another alley with a wooden fence blocking her escape. Lady is trapped in a dead end & hiding behind a stack of barrels. Tramp rescues her from being attacked by the charging dogs at the last minute. He fights the dogs and wins. The stray dogs run away and tramp go's over to lady to comfort her
  • The rat going after the baby may be frightening for young children. Near the end one of the dogs may seem to have died, although he appears in a later scene with only a cast on his leg. There is a scene in a dog pound where a small dog is taken into a room marked "Keep Out," where it is implied that he is euthanized.
