Great performance of D. H. Lawrence's play
j_matarranz8 January 2013
One of the very few versions, if not the only one, preserved of the great Play by Lawrence, The Widowing of Mrs Holroyd means a hit in the history of the dramatic production of the author. it is a private drama with social resonance, none to excessive and superbly combined in a text which easily hooks from the beginning and which, at the end, leaves a bittersweet taste.

Slow rhythm, soft, accompanied of an intensifying cadence, it's main virtue is the performance of the two main actors, who easily are intertwined in different types of discourses perfectly.

It is of special importance to remember that this is the second play by Lawrence, and one of the very few texts of the author published while he was alive, what makes it of special interest .
