Unique mixture of slapstick and porn
SMK-414 January 2000
This is probably the best of the Danish porn comedies from the mid 1970s - at least it is the one with the best production values. These films were fairly unique in that they combined genuine attempts at slapstick comedy (using some veterans from the Olsenbanden pictures) with equally genuine hardcore porn. The only other film I know of that goes anywhere near these areas is Britain's Come Play With Me, but the tight integration of these genres witnessed in the Danish pictures, especially this one, is completely unique.

While much of the humour falls flat this is more than compensated by a genuine sense of wackiness. The film has enormous curiosity value, and shows lots of apparent enthusiasm and energy.

Concerning the sexual intercourses, it appears as if Anna Bergman, Ingmar's daughter, had been body-doubled for her coital scene, while Gina Jansen, who is perhaps best known as the governor's girlfriend in Jess Franco's Sadomania, was at it herself.

Agent Jensen 69 - I Skorpions Tegn
leovalk-130 October 2006
I skorpionens tegn! I never forgot the Danish title of this great erotic movie that I first saw in a cinema in Holland, the country where I grew up.

It is a film in James Bond style. In common with the Bond films it has the humor throughout the film although this is more towards slapstick. It also has love scenes but unlike the Bond films it shows all the juicy details. Nevertheless it's a real nice film, far better than the majority of porn films, it's good for a laugh and it's been filmed beautifully with spectacular dance-scenes and some nice classical music.

It tells about a microfilm that gets lost and eastern as well as western and Danish secret services are after it. Literally everything is done to obtain it again. Anna Bergman, a beautiful young woman, is a joy to watch. When you read this review you will understand why I liked it so much.

This film is an absolute must, especially compared to the majority of porn movies which are not romantic, drenched with the naked facts, while they lack a storyline! Compared to those this film is a relieve.

I was really delighted when - years later - I could get hold of this film (Scorpio Stings)on VHS, together with 3 others from the series featuring the other horoscope signs Taurus, Leo and Sagittarius.

Try to get one and enjoy. I watched the films from this series over and over...

Not too remarkable, but not un-entertaining

European spy spoofs were very big in the 1960's, but by the late 1970's they seemed pretty passe, not to mention pretty unnecessary since the "serious" spy movies like the Bond film "Moonraker" had pretty much sunk into self-parody. This Danish film though adds a very 70's element into the mix--hardcore pornography! Actually, anyone looking for hardcore sex will probably be disappointed as the graphic sex scenes are few and far between, and are all lacking the "money shot". It was typical in Europe at the time to insert brief hardcore sequences into even some of the most innocuous films when they were showing in more liberal markets like Scandanavia. The only difference here is the "inserts" actually seem to have filmed at the same time and involve some, but not all, of the same talent. This film is somewhat similar to "Le Porno Killers" or the unedited version of "Thriller-a Cruel Picture" in this respect, but while those are very sleazy films, this is a light-hearted comedy, which makes the hardcore sex scenes especially jarring. On the plus side, however, this is far better than than any of the American porn parodies of the era. It isn't too funny, but at least it isn't painfully un-funny.

The only recognizable actress here is Anna Bergman, the daughter of the famous Swedish director Ingemar, who otherwise mostly appeared in British sex comedies with Mary Millington and Suzy Mandel. (She actually has a "hardcore" scene here, but she uses a very obvious body double).

But I'm forgetting something--oh yeah, the plot. Well, it's some nonsense about a secret spy agency run by a guy named "the Scorpion" operating out of health food store. An older female Mata Hari type sends her incredibly dim son in to intercept a delivery in order to take revenge on "the Scorpion" who killed the son's father years earlier, right after they had sex for the first and only time. Really the only interesting thing about this (besides it being the "hardcore" debut of the daughter of an internationally-renowned film director) is that the opening sex scene between the Mata Hari and her lover might be the only hardcore porn sequence in history to lead to an actual conception (within the world of the movie, of course). Otherwise though, this movie is not un-entertaining, but is not too remarkable either
