Sheila eagerly listens to Mike's account of the preparations for Ridge and Brooke's nuptials. Despite Brooke's explicit words, Sheila wants to be there and persuades Mike to get her the information on the secret location for the big event. Ridge and Taylor are still stuck in the elevator. Taylor suspects that his mother might have a hand in it. In Bel Air, Stephanie trades barbs with Brooke. Then, Megan calls to inform Brooke that Mike has been snooping around to find out where the ceremony is taking place. Brooke is horrified because neither Ridge nor Stephanie would ever forgive her if Sheila showed up at the wedding.

Mike surprises Sheila with an invitation letter to Brooke's wedding. He warns Sheila to stay clear of the event, though, because the Forresters are keen to see her in jail again. At Forrester Creations, Stephanie unsuccessful tries to convince James to write a bad report on his new patient. Regardless, Stephanie hopes that sooner or later Sheila will break one of her probation requirements. Brooke is stunned to find out that Ridge was trapped in an elevator with Taylor last night. She correctly suspects Stephanie of foul play. However, Brooke is alarmed by some of Ridge's remarks in regards to Sheila. Brooke therefore decides to pay Miss Carter a visit to make it abundantly clear that she cannot attend her marriage ceremony. Sheila acts supportive and feigns ignorance about the location. Just then, Brooke spots one of her wedding invitations. Realizing that she was shamelessly lied to, Brooke gets very angry with Sheila.

Jessica is on cloud nine after Sly's proposal. When Maggie conjures her that Sly is a good friend but not a man for life, Jessica holds back on her big news. At Bikini Bar, Jasmine is after Sly despite Michael's warnings. Sly rebuffs any advance and stuns Jasmine that he is basically engaged to Jessica. Jasmine alludes that she is not necessarily aiming for a strings attached relationship and she cannot picture Sly to look for this with Jessica either. Stephanie learns from Taylor that Brooke was with Sheila. Stephanie considers this proof of Brooke's dishonesty and all the more reason to prevent Ridge from getting married. Sheila cannot weasel her way out of Brooke's accurate deduction that she wanted to attend her wedding. In order to protect their friendship, Sheila tries to blame Stephanie. Alarmed, Brooke shouts that she came to see Sheila after her release out of pity. The recent actions prove to Brooke that Sheila is as crazy as ever. Sheila is furious that Brooke wants to break off any contact with her.

Brooke tells Megan that Sheila had a wedding invitation in her possession. Megan apologizes and hints that the culprit who gave it to her must have been Mike. A distraught Sheila confides in Mike. He is furious that Brooke threatened her and promises to take action against the Forresters. Sheila fails to stop him. Ridge finds out from Taylor that Brooke has likely been visiting Sheila. He cannot understand Brooke's behavior and feels betrayed because she went against his precise wishes. Stephanie arrives at Brooke's office and blames her for meeting with Sheila. She hopes that the wedding will be called off as a result. Brooke struggles when Ridge appears equally furious.

Stephanie tells Lauren and James that Brooke met with Sheila despite the obvious danger for the family. Ridge furiously blames Brooke for getting involved with Sheila and lying to him about their meeting. Brooke repeatedly asks for his forgiveness. Still angry, Ridge leaves for the sauna. There, Lauren is already waiting for him and suggests sex as stress relief. Mike confronts Megan for selling him out to Brooke. Megan is confused that Mike is siding with Sheila again. He thinks that Brooke first fooled Sheila into believing in a great friendship, but then dropped her like a hot potato. He calls it similar to Eric's great gesture to re-hire him, but then giving him a meagerly paid part-time job. Determined to teach her a lesson, Mike storms into Brooke's office reaching for his gun.

James visits Sheila after she has missed their therapy lesson. Sheila is obviously distraught over her dispute with Brooke and confides in James that she worries about Mike harming her out of a sense false loyalty. At Forrester Creations, Mike tries to intimidate Brooke and force her to invite Sheila to her wedding. Megan witnesses the scene. Ridge withstands Lauren's advances in the steam room and realizes how much Brooke means to him. Brooke is rescued when three security officers storm into her office and bring Mike to the ground. Just then, Ride shows up and is shocked to hear of what has just happened. Brooke and Ridge promise each other to be honest in the future and no longer keep secrets from one another.

Sally swears her troops in to help her save Spectra Fashions after the recent fashion show debacle. Macy agrees to play an even more active role in the company than before. Then, Thorne storms into Sally's office beaming with joy: famed stage director Tommy Tune wants him to audition as Danny Zuko in the Broadway revival of "Grease". Macy carefully breaks it to Thorne that she cannot relocate to New York with him. Later, Thorne scores the lead role upon his rendition of "Love me Tender". After being fired from Forrester Creations Mike unsuccessfully renews his demand to get his money from Sally, despite bragging about his bold revenge plans on Brooke. Eric and Maggie are busy preparing Ridge's wedding. Jessica and Sly spend the afternoon in Eric's hot tub. Eric does his best to calm down Maggie who does not consider Sly the right one for her daughter.

Stephanie is desperate to stop the wedding and tries to instigate Lauren and Taylor to an intrigue. When Taylor indignantly turns her down, Lauren also refuses to help. In Bel Air, Brooke is happy to welcome her mother back to Los Angeles after she has agreed to be her matron of honor. Brooke confides in Beth how her secret meetings with Sheila did almost cost her the relationship with Ridge. Mike suggests to Sheila to take revenge on Brooke for her betrayal. Sheila is hesitant, but Mike hints that he already has a plan. Ridge wants to win over his step-son. He informs Rick that a helicopter is waiting to take them on adventurous excursion.

They realize that they are both recently divorced middle-aged women from the Midwest. When Mike shows up, Sheila asks him questions about his revenge plan against Brooke. Mike remains silent. Beth visits her dear friend Eric and they talk about Brooke's wedding. Rick is ecstatic after his helicopter ride to Catalina Island with Ridge. The young boy proudly shows Brooke and Bridget a video from this excursion. Brooke is thrilled that Ridge and Rick seem to get along better. Rick even agrees to be Ridge's best man for the wedding. Later, Ridge discovers a mysterious letter when he pulls "The Wizard of Oz" from the book shelf to read it as a bedtime story for Bridget.

Ridge is stunned to discover a letter from Mulholland Hospital hidden in a book. In it, Dr. Tracy Peters voices shock over the request, yet agrees to follow up on Brooke's wish to provide the desired test results for the paternity test of Bridget in exchange for 1 Million Dollar and keep the true findings a secret. Upstairs, Brooke thanks Rick for giving Ridge and their family a chance. She then reads Bridget a bedtime story. James gets concerned when Stephanie loudly disapproves about the upcoming wedding. She claims that Brooke is using Ridge's love for Bridget to tie him to her. Over in Bel Air, a furious Ridge confronts his fiancée about the possibility that Bridget is not his daughter. Brooke is speechless. Tommy Tune stops by Macy and Thorne's apartment to let them know that Thorne got the role as Danny Zuko. At first the joy is great, but when Thorne learns that Macy is not going to New York with him, he cancels his engagement. Macy tries to change his mind. However, Thorne is adamant.

Brooke is shocked that Ridge does consider the letter and the allegations to be real. She leaves to confront the one person who she thinks is responsible for this cruel scheme: Stephanie. Macy reminds Thorne that a role in a Broadway musical is a once in a lifetime chance which cannot be turned down. In spite of her obligations in L.A., Macy convinces Thorne to go to New York and promises to visit him often. Lauren pays Sheila a surprise visit to make it clear that she does not trust her and is keeping an eye on her. Sheila tries to persuade Lauren that she has changed without avail.

Beth implores him by all means to trust Brooke. Taylor takes a stroll down memory lane with James and remembers how Bridget being Ridge's daughter was a major blow to her relationship with Ridge. The argument between Stephanie and Brooke escalates: amidst a slap and some threats, Stephanie mocks Brooke that her wedding will be canceled because Ridge has finally discovered the truth about her duplicity.

Brooke convinces him to confront the alleged author. When they arrive at the hospital, Ridge and Brooke are shocked to learn that Dr. Peters was killed last night in a robbery. To get clarity on their matter, Brooke asks her co-worker Dr. Benson for a signature sample from the late Dr. Peters. Stephanie stuns Taylor with news of the possibility that Bridget might not be Ridge's daughter. Taylor does not believe that Ridge and Brooke will break up as the letter has to be a forgery. Michael and Dylan unsuccessfully attempt to get Jasmine out of their apartment because they want to find out how much Sly really cares about Jessica. Over brunch, Jessica happily shows her engagement ring to an aghast Dylan and Michael.

Brooke wants to prove to Ridge that the signature on the letter in which the late doctor is questioning Ridge's paternity of Bridget is forged. To their horror, the autographs are identical. During brunch with Dylan and Michael, Sly is bragging about his future in wealth thanks to the generosity of the Forresters, and everyone - except Jessica - realizes that he is after her money. Dylan and Michael unsuccessfully try to open Jessica's eyes. Clad in nothing but a bikini, Jasmine makes a provocative appearance. Sly secretly follows her to the bathroom where they share a kiss. Jasmine attempts to persuade Sly to break up with his girlfriend. Upon leaving, Jessica finally accepts Sly's proposal. Ridge and Brooke return home. She worries that he has still doubts about his fatherhood. Ridge then tells Bridget a story in Brooke's presence that is supposed to convince her that he believes in her loyalty.

James wonders if Taylor is considering the possibility to get back together with Ridge if Bridget is not his daughter. Taylor claims that she has moved on and stresses that the letter is a forgery. Sheila receives a visit from Dr. Carey who is worried to hear that his former patient has sought contact with Brooke. He grows even more concerned how Sheila handled Brooke's rejection and is re-bonding with Mike. Brian warns Sheila to not risk her freedom and advises her to stay away from the Forresters.

Ridge is seething with rage: he chokes Sheila and orders her to admit that she wrote the ominous letter which claims Brooke bribed Dr. Peters to manipulate the paternity test. When Sheila feigns ignorance and vehemently protests against his accusations, Ridge becomes insecure. Sly and Jasmine shamelessly flirt during work and share another kiss. Jasmine makes it clear that she will not be a meaningless affair for Sly, though, and demands that he make a choice. Sly bluntly admits that - due to her money - Jessica is way more attractive to him. When Maggie spots Jessica's engagement ring by accident, she advises her daughter not to rush into marriage prematurely just to mend her broken heart after Dylan. Considering her mother's words, Jessica leaves for the Bikini Bar to break off her engagement. Sly reacts angrily. Ridge talks with Taylor about his insecurities. Asked by Ridge if she considers Brooke guilty, Taylor evades a straight answer.

Eric is stunned and furious because this major news was kept from him: could Bridget be his daughter after all?

James informs Stephanie that he suspects Sheila and Mike to be the authors of the letter. Stephanie, who is always willing to accuse Sheila of foul play, thinks that he is reading too much into everything and that the document is real. Ridge tells Taylor about the latest developments. She contemplates that - if Ridge is not Bridget's father - her life could also drastically change. At the hospital, Bridget is frightened to have her blood drawn. Dr. Benson reassures her before explaining to Ridge, Brooke, Stephanie and Eric that he has no doubt that the original analysis was correct.

She hopes to score a deal with Lauren and therefore invites her over for a visit. Mike tries to re-apply at the hospital and accidentally finds out that the Forresters are about to have another paternity test performed. He visits Sheila to deliver this news. Mike also reminds Sheila about the little incident a couple of years ago and how she tampered with the original testing until even they did not know of the correct results. Bridget, Ridge, Eric and Stephanie have their blood drawn. Everyone knows that Brooke and Ridge's wedding is at stake if Bridget is determined not to be Ridge's daughter. Stephanie feels victorious because Brooke is anxious about the blood analysis. Eric and Ridge get into an argument because Eric is hoping to the girl's father.

After she has failed to reassure Brooke, Beth pays Ridge a visit and pressures him to be with Brooke during this difficult time. Ridge, who no longer doubts his fiancée, immediately leaves to give Brooke moral support and offers to spend a couple of days at Big Bear together. With Dylan's help, Macy presents Lauren the long successful history of Spectra Fashions. Macy then pitches Lauren to drop Eric's spring collection, which Lauren believes will not be ready in time, instead of Spectra produced designs of her choice and under her own Fenmore's label. An intrigued Lauren promises to consider this offer.

Later, Sly and Jessica have a picnic on the beach that he prepared. Sly declares his love and wants to sleep with Jessica. At Forrester Creations, Eric and Lauren have a heated discussion about her sketches and the collection that he is supposed to create for Fenmore's department stores. The biggest bone of contention is that Lauren wants to have her own name listed on the label, but Eric refuses.

Maggie and Sheila run into each other for the second time at the Insomnia Café. This time, Maggie properly introduces herself and invites her acquaintance over to the Mansion. A stunned Sheila feels the urge to be honest and reveals who she is. Maggie who knows of her reputation is in shock. Macy fills Darla in on her plan to score a lucrative deal with Fenmore Department Stores. At the Guest House of the Forrester Estate, Lauren catches Dylan as he delivers a gift basket from Spectra and flirts with him. Lauren then visits Macy to thank her for the offer to team up, but turns her down. On the beach in Malibu, Sly wants to seduce Jessica. Jessica is not ready for her first time and invents an excuse. Jessie is very much in love with Sly, but has no idea that his only aim is to tie her to him forever.

Stephanie goes to visit Sheila. A heated argument ensues as they respectively accuse each other of forging the ominous letter out of hatred against Brooke. Stephanie threatens to put Sheila in jail again and Sheila swears revenge. Ridge and Brooke are still at the cabin in Big Bear relaxing without any children or commitments. Brooke worries about the upcoming test result about Bridget's paternity. Ridge is confident, though. Dylan wants to know from Maggie if Jessica still has feelings for him. He explains that he has been thinking a lot about her lately. Maggie supposes that Jessica could also still be in interested in him - and she would be happy for them to make up. Later, Maggie calls Sheila to apologize for last night. Sheila invites her over to have coffee again. Maggie hesitantly accepts.

Sheila has invited Maggie over for an English tea time. She is open about her difficulties making friends and how important it would be for her recovery. Maggie listens in sympathy and hands Sheila her phone number before leaving. Beth is happy to hear from Brooke that she and Ridge enjoyed their time at Big Bear. Eric has asked Katie to bring Bridget to the office so that he can spend time with her. Taylor can hardly believe that Eric now also wonders if Brooke might have manipulated the paternity test by bribing the doctor. Stephanie finds Brooke's office abandoned and immediately takes the opportunity to snoop around. James catches her doing it and tries to dissuade her. Suddenly, Brooke stands in the doorway. When she realizes what Stephanie is looking for, Brooke explodes.

Stephanie and Brooke have a heated argument. Stephanie accuses Brooke of faking the original paternity test. Brooke is furious that her future mother-in-law would think that badly of her. Meanwhile, Taylor comforts Ridge and reassures him that Bridget is his daughter. When they embrace, Brooke walks into the room. James, who originally wanted to visit Lauren, runs into Maggie by chance and suddenly has the idea to take her out to dinner. Maggie suggests cooking for him instead. Mike informs Sheila that he went back to his roots and is now working at the hospital again. Sheila then tells Mike that she is about to build a friendship to another Forrester.

At the Bikini Bar, Sly informs his friends that he wants to get Jessica pregnant to start a family with her. Jessica arrives who is reluctant to agree to attend a beach party that Sly is planning for the next day. Dylan stuns Michael that he has come to the conclusion that they do not work as a couple. Dylan also explains that he still has feelings for his ex. Michael does not want to give up without a fight: When Dylan goes to run an errand, she puts on sexy lingerie, ready to leave her comfort zone and welcome him at the apartment door. Unfortunately, Michael opens the door to Jessica who wanted to visit Dylan. Brooke accuses Taylor of coming onto Ridge. Brooke even thinks that Taylor could have written the letter to destroy her relationship. Taylor denies having anything to do with the paternity test and shouts at Brooke that Bridget deserves a better mother than her.

Jessica tries in vain to speak to Dylan. Michael pretends that she and Dylan are a lot closer than they actually are which leaves Jessica with a sudden attack of love-sickness. At Bikini Bar, Dylan pays Sly a visit to announce that he is back fighting for Jessica. Just as Sly begins to worry that his ticket to fortune could slip away from him, Jessica gives him a call to accept his invitation for the beach party. Ridge pressures his mother to change her attitude towards to Brooke. Stephanie claims that she would love to believe that Brooke is not the woman she considers her to be. Then, Dr. Benson calls to announce that the results of the paternity test will be due tomorrow.

Brooke learns from Doctor Benson that the results of the paternity test will be available the next day. Ridge is relieved while Brooke is on the edge. Ridge tries to get Brooke out of her gloomy mood. He dances with her and assures her of his trust and love. Lauren shows up at Taylor's Beach House with the intention to speculate about the authenticity of the letter. Taylor is surprised. Lauren admits that she is hoping to become Ridge's lover if Brooke lied - and implies that Taylor has the same interest. Taylor rebuffs this, but later dreams of Ridge coming back to her. Feeling lonely, Sheila calls Brooke. Brooke is sympathetic, but also reminds Sheila that she cannot call her and they cannot be friends anymore.

James begs Taylor not to sacrifice her good judgment for wishful thinking. Ridge and Brooke are nervous while having breakfast with the children and Beth. Then, Dr. Benson calls everyone because the test results are in. At Spectra Fashions, Darla delivers a mailing to Sally which leaves her grumpier than ever. When Macy arrives, the topic switches to the real reason why Brooke and Ridge postponed their wedding. Sally is stunned.

Stephanie explains again that she is ready to recognize Brooke as her daughter-in-law if Ridge is the father - if not, she does not want anything more to do with her. Meanwhile, Ridge regrets agreeing to another test. Eric thinks that it was necessity to get clarity who is really Bridget's father. Jessica reflects on her romance with Dylan who she still considers her true love. However, Sly persuades her to come to the beach party. Jasmine worries that Sly might force himself onto Jessica which he rejects indignantly. When Dylan makes it clear that they have no future as a couple, Michael admits to him that she did not tell him that Jessica was at the apartment the day prior. Dylan tries to reach Jessica, but she has already left home. In Malibu, Sly explains to his friend Tony how he wants to get Jessica pregnant by tampering with a condom.

Mike informs Sheila that the paternity test results are due. Sheila is anxious for the truth, but also explains to Mike that the timing might be right for her to become Brooke's confidante in a time of need again. Beth, who is taking care of Bridget, prays that the girl's daddy is Ridge. Meanwhile at the hospital, Dr. Benson announces that three independent tests came to the same conclusion: Eric is Bridget's father. Eric is speechless while Brooke becomes hysterical and accuses Stephanie of bribing the doctor to change the test results. Later, Brooke is hurt that Ridge believes the analysis. To make matters worse, Ridge confronts Brooke to tell him how Bridget could he Eric's. Did she conspire against him?

While Dylan depicts to Maggie how he plans to win Jessie back, Jessica gets into an argument with Sly at the beach party. Teased by Tony, Shelly, Ramone and Sandy to get up close and personal with his girlfriend, Sly gets drunk because Jessica rejects him sexually. A furious Sly then tries to rape Jessica, but she can escape in shock. Ridge is full of pain. He is also worried about Bridget and how she will cope with the fact that he is not her father. Brooke desperately pleads with Ridge to have faith in their relationship. Ridge fails to see a vision of a joint future and leaves.

Eric attempts to come to terms about the results of the paternity test with Stephanie. Beth tries to lift the spirits of a miserable Brooke who feels left alone by Ridge after he did not come home last night. When Bridget begins to pose questions, Brooke remains vague. Later, Eric appears. He accuses Brooke of only working towards marrying Ridge and ignoring their children's well-being. Eric frankly wonders if Brooke fudged the original blood test. At the Beach House, James consults with Taylor on how to help in this tricky situation. James warns Taylor of the conflict of interest she would get into providing psychological care to Ridge. Taylor assures James that she would never take advantage of Ridge's vulnerability, but also thinks that it would be smart for him to offer the professional help. However, Ridge declines to talk to James and asks Taylor for her support instead.

Sheila has called Mike over. She plays him the tape in which he depicts in detail how to forge a letter from Dr. Peters. Mike is horrified that the lady of his affection is turning against him. Sheila gives Mike the alternative to either disappear or she will hand the tape to the police. Sally visits Stephanie to talk about the reveal of the paternity test. Stephanie is stunned that Sally is feeling sorry for Brooke. Taylor comforts Ridge and reminds him that the fact that he is not the biological father does not mean that Bridget will love him any less. Eric feels deprived of his role as Bridget's father. He bluntly accuses Brooke of being responsible for this - similar when she took the company away from him. Eric thinks that Brooke is holding her pursuit after Ridge higher than the happiness of her children. When Eric wants her to stay away from the family from now on, Brooke is completely devastated. Later, Sheila pays Brooke a surprise visit and promises to be there for her.

Lauren and James wonder who produced the ominous letter which brought Bridget's paternity back into question. They deduce that it must have been Sheila's work - and that Mike aided and abetted her. James then goes over to the main house to tell Stephanie about this suspicion. Stephanie is certain that the letter is no forgery and that Brooke did indeed bribe Dr. Peters, though. In an attempt to comfort her friend, Sheila tries to convince Brooke to leave L.A. with her and start a new life someplace else. However, Brooke wants to fight for Ridge and her rehabilitation. Eric discusses the consequences of the paternity test result with Ridge. Eric pleads with his son not to give up the close relationship with Bridget as he considers him a marvelous father for the little girl.

Sly awakes with a major hangover. Jasmine asks Sly if he slept with Jessica last night, but he cannot remember. Dylan gifts Jessica a rose and asks her to give him another chance. She is overjoyed. Shortly later, Michael stops by to tell Jessica what she learned from Jasmine. Jessica is immensely disappointed that Sly was planning to impregnate her with a manipulated condom. She wants to get back at him. Lauren visits Taylor and fields her with question about Ridge. Taylor pressures Lauren to leave Ridge alone. Lauren makes it clear that she considers Taylor's advice rather self-serving and will not honor it. Lauren then visits Ridge to remind him that she is always there for him. Bridget calls to sing her father a self-composed song for his wedding. Ridge is heartbroken when Bridget wants to know when he will be back home.

Sheila offers Brooke to stay a couple of days with her. Brooke refuses because she is waiting for Ridge. Sheila then receives a visit from Lauren who wants to get a better understanding of the role that Sheila might have played in the letter incident. Meanwhile, Beth begs her daughter to come to Paris for a while to get distance to all the drama. Suddenly, Ridge arrives and Brooke gains new hope that they have a future after all. Ridge only came for the children's sake, though. When her "daddy" acts evasive, Bridget wonders if her parent's wedding will actually take place. Jessica is shocked that Sly wanted to create an offspring just to further his own economic situation. She convinces Michael and Dylan to help her teach Sly a lesson. Jessica wants to pretend that she is indeed pregnant, but instead of a life in luxury many obligations and chores will come attached with it. Dylan remains reluctant while Michael considers this a brilliant plan.

Taylor asks James to use his influence on Lauren to keep her from pursuing Ridge. James questions Taylor's motives. Shaken by the reveal that he is not Bridget's father, Ridge feels completely exhausted. Brooke is shocked that Ridge doubts that their family and relationship can overcome this. Eric is mad at Brooke as he believes that she cheated him of fatherhood to realize her dream romance with Ridge. Eric now wants to spend as much time as possible with Bridget and Eric Jr. and even considers filing for custody. Naturally, Stephanie supports her ex-husband in this quest and offers to come along for picking up the children for the afternoon. When Bridget wants her "daddy" to join them, Ridge accedes. Eric makes it clear that he prefers for Brooke to stay home, though. Thus, Brooke is left alone in her misery crying.

Stephanie tries to comfort Ridge by pointing out that all parents lose their children at some point, when they grow up and leave the house. It is obvious that - despite his anger - Ridge is still having feelings for Brooke. In the living room, Eric enjoys spending time with Bridget who continues to call him "grandpa". He offers the girl to go on a hiking trip in Big Bear. Beth fears that Brooke's attempts to proof that she did not bribe Dr. Peters will not change a thing for Ridge because he will have to come to terms about losing his beloved daughter. Beth suggests to Brooke to give her and Ridge much-needed break and leave town for a while. Brooke is undecided. After Beth leaves, Brooke receives another phone call from Sheila. Suddenly, the doorbell rings: it is Stephanie.

Stephanie urges Brooke to leave L.A. because it would be best for Eric and Ridge to have time with the children alone. Brooke gets defensive when Stephanie wants to have the incriminating letter investigated, but she cannot find it. Stephanie is even more convinced than before of Brooke's guilt and pressures her to get out of town immediately. Beth is shocked by Stephanie's audacity. James offers his advice to Ridge, yet he has no miracle cure for his misery of losing his daughter. Maggie shows up with cookies at Sheila's house. Sheila explains that she is hopeful that her friend Brooke will stay with her for a few days. Lauren informs James of her visit with Sheila which made her belief that Sheila forged the letter in order to make Brooke an outlaw who is dependent on her.

Eric continues to spend time with Rick and Bridget. Stephanie informs her ex-husband that they will have even more time together because Brooke is going to Paris for a while. Sheila learns from Brooke that Stephanie has pressured her to leave L.A. and that she is actually considering it and will therefore not live with her. Sheila then goes to see Stephanie and campaigns on Brooke's behalf. The women get into a heated argument. Brooke still doubts whether she should fly to Europe as she does want to leave the children, but Beth encourages her to recharge her batteries. Eric, Rick and Bridget bid their farewell to Brooke. Later, Ridge tries to stop Brooke from leaving. However, Ridge is not ready to give her a proper reason to stay because he avoids a definite answer about their future. They kiss and Brooke exits.

On the plane to Paris, Brooke is already missing her children - and Ridge. Beth tries to calm her down. In Malibu, Stephanie informs Taylor that Brooke will be gone for a while - and suggests that it is the perfect time for Taylor to develop a closer bond to Ridge again. Eric spends quality time with Rick and Bridget by the swimming pool of the Forrester Mansion. Ridge watches this scene with conflicted emotions and leaves quickly. Maggie surprises the kids with Hamburgers and Stephanie encourages Eric to stay with her for the time being. Ridge visits Taylor asking for her support. He does not know how to cope with the situation of losing his beloved Bridget. Taylor advises Ridge to see counseling from someone else, but he feels that she is the only one who can help him.

Spectra Fashions is in a dire financial situation. Sally and Macy therefore have to let Dylan go to further reduce the staff. He is completely stunned by this decision. At Bikini Bar, Jasmine continues to scold Sly for using Jessica. Jessica knows that Sly wanted to impregnate her with a manipulated condom in order to get her pregnant and therefore gain access to the Forresters' money. She discusses options for a meaningful revenge plan with Michael. Luckily for Jessica, Sly was so drunk that evening that he willingly believes that they had sex. Taylor is surprised to find out that Ridge slept on her porch. She explains to him that there are several stages of coping with a terrible loss: denial, anger, depression and acceptance. Taylor encourages Ridge to embrace these feelings because it will allow him to move on eventually.

James helps Maggie prepare dinner at the Forrester's home. Lauren notices an unexpected closeness between James and Maggie and wonders if they are a couple. Both Maggie and James avoid giving Lauren a straight answer. Eric and Stephanie are happy that Rick and Bridget are enjoying themselves at the Forrester Mansion. Over dinner, Eric Jr. and Bridget voice that they want to stay at Grandma's house. Later, Stephanie encourages Eric to file for custody of his children. Miserable that Brooke left for Paris due to Stephanie's meddling, Sheila feels extremely lonely. Sheila also fears that she will be Stephanie's next target and swears that she will get her first.

Sally has invited Macy, C.J. and Darla to the Café Russe. She wants to feast and celebrate in style one more time before Spectra Fashions goes bankrupt. When the name of Sally's ex-husband Clarke Garrison is mentioned, Macy gets an idea. James and Maggie also dine at the restaurant. Maggie feels uncomfortable in the upscale surroundings. James does his best to ease her discomfort and gives her a crash course in cutlery and glasses. Eventually, Maggie begins to enjoy the evening. With his tuition due and bills reaching way over his head, newly unemployed Dylan is in dire need of money. Jasmine has a suggestion to make a lot of cash fast, but she fears that her room-mate might not be ready for such a job. Reluctantly, Jasmine hands Dylan the contact details of her friend Vince who owns a men's strip club. Dylan is horrified.

Dylan is about to turn on his heels when he realizes that the Beverly Hills Hideaway is a strip-club. When he learns that Vince, the owner, studied marketing with Jasmine and many of the strippers have families with wife and kids, Dylan begins to reassess his attitude. However, Dylan feels - that despite being cash-strapped - he is not ready for such a bold new job. Maggie tells her daughter that she had a wonderful evening with James, yet she cannot help it but feel inferior to the worldly psychiatrist. Jessica urges her mother to embrace the chance to date a man who offers so many new aspects to her life. Maggie thanks her daughter for the advice. Stephanie is impressed that Taylor continues to hold care for others well ahead of her own interests. Later, Stephanie takes the opportunity to remind Ridge that Taylor - without complaint - has always been loyal to him, even though she has been through a lot herself in recent years. Ridge then calls Taylor to meet with her the next day.

Sheila surprises Maggie at the Forrester Mansion. Maggie freezes in panic, but Sheila says she made sure that nobody else is in the house. Sheila states that she thinks what Stephanie did to Brooke is mean. The worst thing is that she took her children away from her. When Maggie is distracted by a messenger, Sheila sneaks into Stephanie's bedroom and looks at her medication. At Forrester Creations, Stephanie continues to push Eric to file for custody of his children. When Eric expresses that he feels not ready to take care of them alone, Stephanie offers to raise Rick and Bridget with him. Ridge is back at work where he seeks advice from Taylor on how to break the news to Bridget that he is not her father. Ridge also addresses the fact that it must be a difficult time for Taylor as well.

Sheila uses her voluntary work at the clinic to snoop around in the medical library. She also takes the opportunity to question Dr. Carey about mental illnesses and their causes. Brian willingly talks about mercury poisoning, a disease doctors usually fail to diagnose because the symptoms are exactly the same as those of a psychosis. With Spectra Fashions on the verge of bankruptcy, Macy fills Darla in on her plan to save the family business. She wants to hire Clarke Garrison, Sally's ex and C.J.'s father, as the new designer. Darla considers this a bad move because the man has hurt Sally too badly. Over at Forrester Creations, Sally takes a last minute effort to keep her legacy alive and offers Eric to sell her company to him. Despite his sympathies for her, Eric turns Sally down. Stephanie consults with family lawyer Jonathan Young. He is stunned to hear that Eric is the biological father of Bridget. Stephanie then instructions Jonathan to develop a strategy for the quickest way to give Eric full custody of both Rick and Bridget.
