Mark Hamill, One of the Funniest Villain Ever
claudio_carvalho11 January 2016
In Central City, Barry Allen (John Wesley Shipp) is prepared to watch a TV movie with Christina 'Tina' McGee (Amanda Pays). However, Detective Megan Lockhart (Joyce Hyser) calls him telling that she is in danger in another town. The Flash runs and rescues her from the insane criminal James Jesse (Mark Hamill). Then he has a love affair with Megan. Meanwhile James Jesse is transported to Central City in the police car, but he succeeds to escape and kills the officers. Then he becomes The Trickster and is obsessed for Megan, but The Flash protects her. The Flash decides to challenge The Trickster and he finally arrests the criminal. However, during the trial he is helped by The Prank, who has a crush on him, and he escapes from the justice, promising revenge against The Flash, Megan and Central City. What will The Flash do?

"The Flash II: Revenge of the Trickster" is a cartoonist television show, with a typical story from the comic books from decades ago. The plot is silly, but Mark Hamill steals the show performing one of the funniest villain ever. My vote is six.

Mark Hamill as a villain, no way!

Once again the first season of The Flash produces a second film. This one went far enough to get mark Hamill to play the Trickster, who was frozen I believe in the 50s to be thawed out in the 90s. He, the Trickster, plays the role of the criminal genius born far before his time, so he freezes himself to awaken in 2000, but the timer malfunctions and releases him in the 90s. It was very campy but a good super hero story worthy of comic book legend. If only Sci-fi channel would rerun this series and its films to remind people and entertain younger generations.

The Trial of the Trickster

This "movie" was just the season finally (and it ended being the series)of the Flash TV show. In it the Trickster, a psychotic magician who was caught in a previous episode, breaks out of his trail and goes on a mad spree through the town, even brainwashes the Flash. This shouldn't be viewed as a stand alone movie, it is part of a series and is the wrap up to the 22 episodes that precede it. Also to comment on a previous comment by JR, the Trickster didn't come from the future, that was another episode with a villain named The Ghost. The episode was entitled "The Ghost in the Machine." I personally love this series as a whole and this episode is on of my top favorites, but i don't think it should have ever been produced as a stand alone movie, especially since they changed the title to the Trickster's Revenge when the 2 hour episode was called "The Trial of the Trickster." Thats the end of my fanboy commenting.

Suprisingly good

From the beginning with Danny Elfman's theme this made for video movie displays an ability to entertain beyond it's low budget TV expectations. Mark Hamill's performance as The Trickster is wonderfully over the top and seems inspired by the 1960's Batman series as does the art direction and cinematography. The Flash II clearly outshines the original pilot episode and shows how great this short lived series could be. Not so happy as a clown but happy none the less.

this movie was brilliant! Mark Hamill played the role of the trickster very very well. CONGRATS TO HIM! he is a wonderful actor. This movie was very funny, but it also had me in suspense. It is a great movie, but i don't think it would be as great as it seems without Hamill.

Wish I had my 2 hours back

I rented this movie the other day, and must say I have not seen a worse movie in quite some time. The main reason I picked up the movie was to see Mark Hamill in something other than Star Wars. Now I know why Hollywood wasn't really knocking down his door. The acting by all parties involved in this was awful. The two main females were especially atrocious.

The movie itself feels like it has ended 4 or 5 times before the actual end of the movie. Each time I'm hoping that the torture is over, but no, it still goes on. The Trickster escapes from the courthouse or from jail, or from wherever once again, and goes to fight the Flash once again.

The use of The Flash's powers was pretty sparse as well. He runs around fast a little bit, juggles to himself while beating on the Trickster a bit, but doesn't really do anything cool. The Flash is more than just running fast.

Special effects for this movie were actually one of the decent parts, considering it's made for TV budget, it didn't look too bad. The Flash's costume was also rather well put together.

Overall though, this was a very disappointing movie, both as a fan of Mark Hamill, and as a comic book fan. I'd recommend staying far away from it.

well well the flash II not half bad the movie was very edgey it wasnt based to close to the comics but it was neat. one thing is that the trickster isnt a guy from the the year 20000 or some thing hes a guy with tricky stuff and hover shoes. i think this movie would have been awsome if it was FLASH II REVENGE OF PROFSSOR ZOOM but thats just me. dont get me wrong the movie was great but way off from the comics i mean if you watch the movie for just somthing to watch thats ok but if you watch it for comic detail then dont. this movie was fare not the best but ok the flash custume was neat the tricksters was ok mark hammil did a good job as the trickster. to finish off i give the flash II revenge of trickster 8 out of 10 ok not perfect.
