A rich narrative full of cultural depictions, cliche comical clashes of cultural practices, and a unique family dynamic chastising the sings of vanity. This is the first 35mm feature out of the republic of Burundi, and is an acclaimed text. I highly recommend this film as an alternative to those Western depictions of African culture such as "I Dreamed of Africa" or "Gollias in the Mist."
