Armin and Jennifer get closer. Armin confesses to Jennifer that he would not be able to cope with another betrayal of Lona's faith, as he did with Marian Becker. Jennifer overhears Lona and Becker raving about their shared pleasures in the Bahamas. In a conversation with Aylin, Jennifer comes to the conclusion that she must tell Armin the truth about Lona. But when the time comes, Jennifer doesn't have the heart to do it ... Till meets Kerstin for the first time. He is dazzled by her attractive appearance. However, Kerstin only responds to Till's advances when she rebuffed by Chris. While Till explodes New Year's Eve firecrackers in the courtyard, Kerstin makes a pass at him despite Ute's presence. Till feels flattered and spontaneously invites Kerstin to the New Year's Eve party at the Schiller ... When Claire realizes what she and Alexander are about to do, she is startled. She fiercely rejects Alexander's affections, who doesn't understand what is suddenly going on with Claire. While he tells his parents about his heartache, Claire decides to leave town. She gives Regina a farewell letter for Joachim. Alexander is stunned when he finds out about Claire's decision.

Jennifer initially decides not to tell Armin about Lona's secret Bahama trip with Becker. She confronts Lona in private, who then promises to confess everything to Armin. At the New Year's Eve party, Jennifer jealously observes Lona's behavior towards Armin. She increasingly doubts that she will tell him the truth. Lona realizes that Jennifer has more than just friendly feelings for Armin ... Ute is not pleased that Till has invited Kerstin to the New Year's Eve party. Although she is not particularly interested in Till, she feels spurred on by Ute's jealousy to give him a try. They end up kissing at the New Year's Eve party ... Claire has missed the train to Paris. To his deep regret, Alexander believes that Claire has disappeared from his life and finds a good friend and conversation partner in Corinna. A little later, Alexander finds a letter from Claire to his father in his letterbox. Regina encourages him to open the letter. To his great horror, Alexander learns from the letter that Claire's long-wanted father is none other than his own father.

Alexander has found out that Claire is his half-sister and wants to follow her to Paris. But Claire has missed the train and the two meet at the station. She tells him what she has found out about the relationship between Joachim and her mother. Alexander is indignant at his father, but Claire defends him. She asks Alexander to let her decide when to tell his family about everything ... Lars believes he has learned from Chris that Stefanie was only faking her infidelity. He could actually excuse her behavior. But his pride is too great. Since Lars knows that Stefanie still loves him, he tries to win her back with an evil plan by faking a suicide attempt. Stefanie finds him and believes she has saved Lars in the nick of time. Chris accidentally finds out what a nasty game Lars is playing with Stefanie. But when he tries to warn her, it seems to be too late ... Antonia has money troubles. After repeatedly stepping in to help and taking in friends in need, she can no longer afford her household costs. To make matters worse, she has a major mishap. Her washing machine leaks while she is away. The extent of the damage remains unclear.

Stefanie is furious that Chris has doubts about the seriousness of Lars' suicide attempt. She picks Lars up from the hospital and decides, to his delight, that he should live with her from now on. When Chris confronts Lars, he admits with a cold smile that he actually staged the suicide attempt on purpose in order to win Stefanie back. Chris then tells him that he and Stefanie did sleep together. But Lars doesn't believe him ... Antonia and Marc believe that they will be able to deal with the consequences of the flooding caused by the washing machine themselves. But then they realize that the damage is worse than they initially thought: the flooding has also affected the Weigels' hallway. When Bernd and Marc spread out a wet carpet in the courtyard to dry, Margot also notices the water damage. To Antonia's horror, she discovers that her insurance company will not accept any liability because Antonia acted with gross negligence ... Corinna encourages Jennifer to tell Armin the truth about Lona's outing with Becker. When Armin finds out that Lona has lied to him, he throws himself into work. But he is unable to distract himself. When he finally decides to break up with Lona, he finds out that she is expecting his child.

Lona is able to convince Armin that he is the father of her child. Together they decide what to do. An abortion is out of the question for Lona, even though the child could disrupt her career. Armin is at a loss. Jennifer sadly fears for her young love. Lona explains to Marian Becker that she only made up the pregnancy so as not to lose Armin. She makes it clear to him that their erotic encounters must come to an end. Becker releases Lona ... Irene tries to open Till's eyes about Kerstin and tells him about her intrigue against Ute. But Till takes the whole thing the wrong way. He thinks his mother wants to patronize him. When Chris also warns him about Kerstin, Till switches to stubborn. Meanwhile, Ute is on the trail of another 'phenomenon', the cause of which she traces back to Kerstin ... Margot seeks advice from her tax consultant Lehmkühler. He has the idea that she should not only repair the water damage in Antonia's apartment, but also take the opportunity to renovate the entire apartment in a luxurious way. This would save taxes and the costs could be passed on proportionately to the rent. Margot doubts that Antonia's guardian Irene will agree to this. But chance would have it otherwise.

Margot threatens to renovate Antonia's apartment and can no longer be persuaded to change her mind. Bernd has to realize that it was his fault that Margot's plan was made possible in the first place. When she comes out with the surprising suggestion that Antonia should move into the shared flat, his enthusiasm is limited. Bernd, who feels responsible for the whole mess, seeks help from Stefanie and makes the acquaintance of Lars König ... Claire unexpectedly turns up at the Albrechts' again. Joachim and Regina are delighted when they learn that Claire wants to stay in Cologne after all. When Alexander realizes that Claire still hasn't told his father the truth about herself, an argument ensues. Claire leaves the apartment in a rage ... Till starts further attempts to conquer Kerstin. When he arranges to meet her at the ice rink, he suddenly finds himself face to face with Ute, who has been secretly following Kerstin. A scuffle breaks out between the two girls and Till falls. In despair, Ute confesses her love to the man lying apparently unconscious on the ice.

Joachim has found out from Claire that he is her father. Memories of her mother Chantal and his student days in Paris come flooding back. Alexander reproaches his father morally, but Joachim assures him that he never knew anything about Claire. He hesitates to tell his wife about his illegitimate daughter and finally makes a decision ... Till only faked his accident on the ice. Ute is embarrassed by her declaration of love and tries to avoid talking to Till. When he does confront her, Ute is only just able to talk her way out of it. There seems to be no end to her run of bad luck. But then there is a glimmer of hope. She catches her rival Kerstin stealing cake from Wolfgang ... Stefanie has discovered that Antonia's contract with Margot is contestable. She tells Bernd and Lars about it. While Bernd wants to inform Antonia, Lars uses his knowledge for an intrigue. He asks Stefanie about Margot and finds out about her old quarrel with her sister Sophie and how interested she is in Antonia's apartment. Lars comes up with a plan.

Claire is initially furious that Joachim has offered her money if she returns to Paris. When Alexander finds out about the offer, he accuses his father of trying to buy his way out of all his problems and that his moral claims are just a facade. Joachim realizes his mistake and apologizes to Claire ... Armin does not want Lona to appear in Holland despite her pregnancy. Lona, however, thinks his care is an intrusion into her affairs. Shortly afterwards, the two have a big row. Enraged, Lona makes a run for it. Armin suspects that she is traveling to Holland ... Ute sees Kerstin selling Wolfgang's cakes to the kiosk owner at the ice rink. She manages to convince Wolfgang to lie in wait with her to catch Kerstin in the act. But when they confront Kerstin, Ute is in for a nasty surprise.

Wolfgang feels disgraced and angrily leaves Ute standing in the ice rink. Kerstin is triumphant. Ute can't explain what has happened. While Irene continues to side with Ute, Kerstin and Laura celebrate their victory over Ute. Kerstin is already thinking about more effective fund-raising campaigns. Ute warns Till in vain about false friends ... Armin is angry with Lona because she went to Holland after all. Jennifer is worried about him. She meets Sven, who works in a beauty clinic, for the first time on a radio show. After some initial skepticism, Jennifer and Sven get to know each other better. When Sven finds out that Jennifer is looking for a job, he arranges for her to be invited to an interview with his boss ... Margot unexpectedly confronts Antonia with a construction crew for the renovation work. The apartment is devastated in no time at all and virtually uninhabitable. Lars gives Stefanie the idea of buying Sophie's apartment. He tells Wolfgang that it would be best for everyone if a neutral person got Sophie's apartment. However, he secretly goes to Margot and makes her another suggestion.

Armin realizes that he has wronged Lona. To make up for it, he wants to surprise her with a baby cradle. But then Armin finds out that Lona wasn't at the concert. He suspects she was with Becker and angrily wants to confront her. But he doesn't find her there. In the meantime, Lona turns up at the flat share in despair and makes a confession to Jennifer - she's not pregnant at all. When she tries to confess everything to Armin, who is now worried sick, the conversation takes a surprising turn ... Lars manages to convince Margot of his plan. He wants to get her Sophie's apartment in return for a large commission and a favorable rental contract. Neither the Weigels nor Stefanie have any idea of Lars' dishonest intentions. Sophie reports from Vietnam and agrees to sell the apartment. Everything seems to be going according to plan ... Joachim finds out that it's Claire's birthday and wants to surprise her with a present. Alexander urges him to talk to Regina, but Joachim avoids him. When Regina finds out that Joachim has allegedly lied to her about important university appointments, she confronts him. But her husband still remains silent.

Lona lies to Armin that she has aborted her baby. Armin is completely devastated, but Lona asks him to start all over again together. They both confess their love for each other. Corinna, who is informed by Armin about Lona's abortion, feels very sorry for the two of them. Jennifer takes this the wrong way and thinks Lona has lied to Armin again. She wants to tell him the truth, but Lona beats her to it and tells Armin that Jennifer loves him and will do anything to break them up ... Irene and Wolfgang have a marital crisis. It's triggered by Kerstin, who, as usual, comes to Wolfgang's defense. Furious, Irene runs out of the patisserie and vents to Stefanie ... Alexander, who wanted to wish Claire a happy birthday, returns home without having achieved anything. There he learns from Marc that there is a lot of trouble at the Albrechts' because Joachim and Regina's ideas about how to save Wolfgang and Irene's marriage are far apart. Joachim celebrates his birthday with his daughter at the Schiller. Meanwhile, Regina finds a credit card bill for a necklace and assumes that Joachim is having an affair with Claire.

Joachim confesses to Regina that Claire is his daughter. However, he does not tell her the whole truth, but insists that Claire's mother is a student whom he did not know closely. Joachim asks his son to stop talking to Regina about the past so as not to incriminate her. Regina is quite taken aback by the news that her husband has a grown-up daughter. After a conversation with Irene, she takes heart and visits Claire ... Wolfgang and Irene are at odds. A suggestion of kindness that Irene makes to her husband is rejected by him. Even when she makes erotic advances to him, she is rebuffed ... Antonia suffers increasingly from the harassment of Obermann, the foreman of the construction team. After school, she wants to show Jennifer the catastrophic state of the apartment. But surprisingly, the electricity and water are working again. Obermann makes fun of Antonia and provokes her with macho remarks. Eventually it gets too much for the spirited Antonia and she pours beer down Obermann's pants. During the night, she is woken up by noises in the apartment.

Lars and Jennifer save Antonia from an attack by Knut Obermann. While Jennifer takes care of Antonia's accommodation in the shared flat, Lars pays off the foreman for his 'favor'. The night-time visit to Antonia's apartment was a set-up. Irene angrily confronts Margot about her choice of workmen. But she is met with a sympathetic ear, as Margot also finds this method far too much. She complains to Lars about his 'rent extraction practices' ... While Ute struggles to earn her pocket money by sticking up posters, Kerstin plans her breakthrough in Milan. She is still relying on her friend Laura. But she enviously makes unredeemable demands of Kerstin. After Wolfgang refuses to give her the necessary advance for her supposedly ill mother, Kerstin looks for another way to get money. She is thinking of Till. But before she can put her plan into action, a perfectly healthy Mrs. Krause appears in the store, much to Wolfgang's surprise ... While Marc, Alexander and Claire become friends as siblings, Joachim learns from Regina that she has gone to see Claire to talk to her. Joachim still doesn't tell his wife how well he knew Claire's mother. When Regina comes across the letters he has written to Chantal, she gives Joachim a choice: either he leaves - or she does.

Regina is deeply hurt that Joachim had a long-term love affair with Chantal and wanted to keep it from her. She can no longer believe him. Joachim decides to move into his office for the time being. Alexander fears that the family will break apart ... After Jennifer has repeatedly asked Lona in vain to clear out the room for Antonia, she runs out of patience. Together with Corinna, Bernd and Aylin, she empties the room and throws Lona's things into Armin's room. When Lona discovers this, she angrily drives to the radio station where Jennifer is pre-producing a fitness program. In the course of the argument, she repeats that she never had an abortion because she was never pregnant. When Lona has left, Jennifer discovers that she has recorded the entire confession ... Wolfgang discovers that Kerstin's stories about her sick mother were lies. Outraged, he decides to find out from Kleiber himself whether Kerstin has actually delivered goods for him. Meanwhile, Kerstin has successfully ensnared Till and persuaded him to go on a night-time rendezvous in the bakery. After the rendezvous, she plans to put her hands into the till, but is caught by Till.

Till realizes that Kerstin only slept with him to get the money from the confectioner's till. When he prevents her brazen theft, she insults him and leaves in a huff. Meanwhile, Wolfgang has learned that Kerstin has also cheated on him. He takes the consequences and fires his apprentice. Till and his father spontaneously have the same idea about who might be suitable for the job. They give Ute a pleasant surprise ... Jennifer has a tape recording on which Lona admits that she was never pregnant by Armin. She wants to use this piece of evidence to convince Armin that Lona is playing a false game with him. But Corinna warns her that Armin might react differently than expected and instead suggests using the tape to force Lona to disappear from the flat share and from Armin's life. But that doesn't work either. Lona and Armin leave the shared flat together ... Alexander helplessly realizes how much Marc is suffering from his parents' separation. He seeks advice from Andreas Fischer and invites him to brunch with the Albrechts. Regina enjoys the relaxed atmosphere that develops. Alexander manages to interest her in his work as a deacon. Marc visits his father in his study at the university to persuade him to return. But Marc's attempt to reconcile his parents is unsuccessful.

Even Bernd can't dissuade Armin from his decision to leave the flat share. Jennifer decides to play him the tape of Lona's confession after all. But Armin destroys the tape without listening to it. Lars arranges a hotel room for him and Lona. Armin defiantly announces that he will soon have forgotten the flat share ... Margot believes that Lars needs her money to buy Sophie's apartment. In reality, he has the necessary financial means himself. Antonia feels very comfortable in the shared flat and Olaf gives her permission to stay there ... Alexander is full of admiration for Andreas. In a conversation with Till and Chris, he pleads for more civil courage. Alexander wants to emulate Andreas and offers to help him with his project to help asylum seekers. Laura is also very impressed by Andreas. She amuses Marc and Alexander with her plan to seduce the priest candidate. On the way to Andreas, Alexander's moral courage is put to the test. Some neo-Nazis are harassing an African. Will Alexander intervene?

Claire visits Regina. Her charming appearance plunges Regina into a dilemma. On the one hand, she tries to accept Claire as her daughter; on the other, she is confronted with Chantal, Joachim's lover. Claire senses that Regina is struggling with a decision and gives her time to come to terms with herself. Meanwhile, Marc continues to try and reconcile his parents. However, he fails because Joachim refuses to approach Regina ... The misguided horseradish cake has not failed to have an effect. The ladies from the Rhineland Bridge Club leave Schillerallee in disgust. Margot's hopes of becoming a member of the exclusive circle are dashed. Margot blames Wolfgang, who in turn turns to Till. But he doesn't feel like apologizing to his grandmother. Ute has the idea that saves the day. She hands out homemade cakes to the indignant ladies and then manages to convince them to let Margot join their club after all. She is very touched when she hears about Ute's efforts ... Lars' plan goes as planned. He buys Sophie's apartment with bribes from his former partner. He manages to trick Stephanie into believing that he has bought the apartment for them both. Margot gets a nasty surprise when Lars refuses to sign Sophie's apartment over to her as agreed.

Margot is furious because Lars suddenly no longer wants to sell the apartment to her. When she tries to stir up trouble against Lars in the house, nobody believes her. Only Chris decides to get to the bottom of the matter surrounding the sale of Sophie's apartment ... Jennifer is disappointed because she can't find a job as a physiotherapist as quickly as she had hoped. When the boss of a beauty company wants to meet Jennifer at a party, Corinna advises her friend to go and have a look around ... Regina is happy in misfortune. While Joachim tries in vain to make contact with his children, she manages to make peace with Claire. The two get closer during an exuberant shopping spree. But Joachim completely misunderstands these efforts and accuses his wife of trying to alienate Claire from him. Regina is outraged and demands a divorce.

Regina's decision seems irrevocable. She wants a divorce. Joachim doesn't take her demand seriously and accuses her of hysteria. When Claire learns of this development, she tries to talk to Regina and Joachim. But the situation is so deadlocked that reconciliation does not seem possible. Claire then decides to leave for Paris. Joachim blames Regina and makes a nasty scene. Now he also wants a divorce ... Lona experiences a bitter disappointment when she learns that Becker has been arrested for embezzlement and tax evasion. His successor at EGO Records terminates all his contracts. Lona is once again left with nothing. Meanwhile, Armin receives a tempting offer from Lars. When Lars finds out about Lona's difficulties, he offers her the opportunity to shoot a video clip with a famous director. Lona is delighted, but Lars expects something in return and makes her an immoral offer ... Jennifer attends the party at the beauty institute and feels her prejudices are confirmed. When Jennifer meets a young, like-able man, she doesn't hold back with her critical opinion. She has no idea that she is standing face to face with her future employer.

Lona spurns Lars out of love for Armin and gives up the video clip. Armin doesn't find out about the whole thing and bursts into the radio station a little later with the sensational news that Lona can produce a video with a famous director thanks to Lars. Lona confronts Lars in astonishment. He apologizes to her and the two make peace ... Jennifer is convinced that she has messed up her job at the beauty institute. She seeks advice from Corinna about whether she should accept the unpaid internship at a massage practice. But before she can make a decision, Frank Johannsen contacts her and invites her back for another interview. He explains that he is impressed by Jennifer's open nature and takes her on ... The Sudanese's application for asylum was rejected. Andreas realizes that the situation is extremely precarious. But he doesn't want to involve Alexander in the matter and pretends that there is no cause for panic. Alexander discusses the pros and cons of church asylum with Regina. Regina warns her son against illegal actions. When Alexander pays a surprise visit to the Sudanese, he realizes that Andreas has deceived him about the seriousness of the situation. Just as he is about to leave the church hall disappointed, the police arrive at the door and demand to be let in.

Alexander is faced with the difficult decision of either following his heart or the law. In the end, he defies the police. Arguments persuade the officer in charge to call off the operation. The asylum seekers can hope for a new procedure. Alexander's experience makes him understand why Andreas wants to become a priest. But his optimistic mood is abruptly dampened when Regina tells her sons and Laura that she and Joachim are filing for divorce. This news hits Marc particularly hard ... Irene confesses to Regina that Wolfgang is no longer sleeping with her. Regina advises her to take a cure together because she suspects that Wolfgang's reluctance is due to health problems. But he feels perfectly well and doesn't understand what Irene wants when she asks him about his supposed health problems ... Jennifer uses her last day off before starting work to do something with Corinna. She misses Sven, who wanted to bring her important patient information. Bernd promises to give Jennifer the envelope. But then he is called by Margot and takes the documents with him. The next morning, Jennifer starts her first day at work with an exercise class, while Margot hands Corinna the important envelope from Sven in Schillerallee: Bernd had left it with her. The catastrophe is inevitable: One of the women in Jennifer's gymnastics group collapses. Neuenried looks for someone to blame and fires Sven.

Chris begins to rummage through Lars' past and makes an astonishing discovery: Lars' former business partner is in prison for fraud, although the real culprit is called Lars König. They just couldn't prove anything against him. Alarmed by this, Chris wants to warn Stefanie, as she is obviously being used by Lars as a front man for his black money operations. But Stefanie won't listen to Chris. However, when Margot tells her that Lars is having an affair with Lona, she is shocked ... Jennifer confronts Bernd about the missing documents. He realizes his faux pas and wants to clear things up immediately. On the way to the beauty institute, they both surprise Mrs. Schweller while she is feasting in the patisserie. To avoid the threat of unpleasantness, she agrees to work for Sven's reinstatement ... Wolfgang and Irene's marriage continues to be in crisis. When Wolfgang, who has complained to Irene about his poor health, receives a new fitness machine, his wife is furious. An attempt at reconciliation by Wolfgang seems to clear things up. Nevertheless, they both realize that something is wrong in their relationship. But neither of them dares to say so openly.

Marc asks Antonia to write his physics paper in her flat share, as there is always tension at home. By a stupid coincidence, the diskette with the paper ends up in a cupboard, which ends up in the bulky waste due to Bernd. When the mistake is noticed, however, it is too late. Marc can just see a small truck driving away with the cupboard and his presentation inside ... Like his brother, Alexander is suffering from his parents' announced divorce. He asks Andreas Fischer to visit his mother to perhaps persuade her to change her mind. During Regina's absence, Joachim makes a flying visit home. He is surprised when Alexander shows understanding for his behavior ... After Margot's suggestion, Stefanie believes that Lars really did sleep with Lona. She tries to confront him, but only encounters Armin, whom she tells what she has learned about Lars from Margot and Chris. Armin alerts Lars. However, he calmly dismisses all accusations and finally manages to calm Stefanie down by surprising her with her new apartment. Armin has no peace about what Chris has found out about Lars. He wants to confront his friend, but Lona cleverly manages to prevent this.

Marc, Antonia and Bernd try in vain to find the address of the 'Möbelkombinat Partisan Ehrenfeld', in whose truck Marc's unit has driven off. Jennifer comes to the rescue: she happens to know the address. Marc, Antonia and Bernd do indeed find it and are able to recover the disk. The next shock is not long in coming: the diskette has been lying on a loudspeaker - has the magnet destroyed the data? Fortunately, Thomas Krake from 'Partisan Ehrenfeld' turns out to be a computer genius. He is able to find the file with Marc's presentation on Corinna's PC ... Laura finds out that Andreas wants to become a priest and tells Jens about it. He bets her 500 marks that Laura will fail with her seductive skills with Andreas. Laura is now gripped by ambition ... Chris and Margot have to realize that Lars has won when it comes to the apartment. Chris wants to warn Armin about Lars' criminal business practices, but only reaches Lona. She asks him to meet her at the location where the video clip was filmed in order to persuade him to lie to Armin about the incident with Lars. But Armin arrives just in time to overhear part of the conversation. He is deeply hurt and demands a decision from Lona: it's either him or the video clip.

Lona doesn't want to stop filming the video clip. Armin goes back to the hotel, packs his things and moves out. Chris tells Jennifer about the new argument between Lona and Armin. Jennifer then pays a surprise visit to the distraught Armin at the radio station ... Wolfgang is looking forward to a planned class reunion. Meanwhile, Irene is irritated to receive a parcel addressed to Wolfgang, which obviously contains condoms. Wolfgang amusedly explains to his family that the sender could only be his childhood friend Walter Podelko, as they had agreed at the age of 16 that whoever seduced a hundred women first should send the other an explicit gift ... Bernd rents Sophie's former apartment from Lars. He wants to surprise Aylin with it. The flatmates are sad and disappointed about Bernd's sudden departure, which they only find out about by chance. Antonia explains to Corinna and Jennifer that Bernd only has one heartfelt wish: to live with Aylin. But when Bernd presents her with the surprise, Aylin makes it unmistakably clear that she will never move into this apartment with him or even spend the night there.

Corinna asks Margot for help, who recommends a well-known funeral home. The flatmates realize that a cremation is beyond their financial means. But it is clear to Jennifer that she wants to fulfill Armin's last wish. She asks Regina for a loan. Margot finds out about the flat share's financial problems from Aylin. Jennifer returns from the coroner's office completely distraught: Armin's body has already been taken away.
