We know for sure that Danny and Michael Philippou, the sibling directing duo behind the Australian horror film Talk to Me (read our review at This Link, watch our interview with the directors in the embed above) are going to be making a sequel to that movie. The film not only racked up over $90 million at the global box office, it also earned praise from the likes of Steven Spielberg, Peter Jackson, Jordan Peele, George Miller, and Ari Aster… so it was no surprise when A24 announced they had given a greenlight to the a follow-up, titled Talk 2 Me. But while the sequel moves ahead, one person who still doesn’t know if they’re going to be involved with it is Talk to Me star Sophie Wilde.
Talk to Me marked the feature directorial debut of the Philippou brothers, who have a following of over 6 million subscribers on their YouTube channel RackaRacka.

Hey all! John Fallon here aka The Arrow. Our docu-series, Executive Produced by Berge Garabedian: 80’s Horror Memories (binge it here), which thoroughly explores the decade in horror, is now 15 episodes in. We just wrapped 1980, 1981 and 1982 and we are about to go in balls deep into 1983 this coming Monday, August 28 on our JoBlo Horror Originals YouTube channel.
A series of this ilk doesn’t happen by itself, it takes an army of producers, writers, editors and our sole narrator to make the magic happens. So we thought it would be dandy to get our core staff to share with you their 10 favorite (not best) horror movies from the 80’s. Yes, it was tough on all of us to pick just 10 – but we knocked a few back and did what we could. Scroll down and peep our choices!

Genre marketer Fourth Castle Media and talent management/production company Invalesco Entertainment announce the creation of Thingmaker Entertainment, a microbudget monster movie production and distribution label. Read on for the details!
The announcement comes during this weekend's Son of Monsterpalooza, a popular Los Angeles convention for fans of old school monsters and practical special effects. Invalesco’s M. Dal Walton, a seasoned film executive with credits such as Rambo, Narc, and the remakes of The Wicker Man and Day of the Dead, says of the new company: “New technologies for production and distribution have made it viable to create new genre movies specifically for their fans without watering down the experience by trying to be all things to all people. Thingmaker Entertainment will produce and distribute movies for fans of the z-grade, zero-budget drive-in monster movie classics of yesteryear. Our focus will be on the monster: creative, exciting, and well executed.

Horror movie icon Bill Hinzman has lost his battle with cancer at the age of 75.
Hinzman was working as a cameraman on George Romero's 1968 horror classic Night of the Living Dead when the director cast him as a zombie in the film's opening scene.
The experience prompted him to sign up for more horror roles in films like Evil Ambitions, Santa Claws, Legion of the Night and Hungry Wives.
His last role came in 2011's River of Darkness.
He also directed gruesome hits FleshEater and The Majorettes, in which he starred, in the mid-1980s.
Hinzman, who was a regular hit at horror film conventions across America, died at his home in Pennsylvania on 5 February.

Truly a sad day for the world of horror & fans of the original "Night of the Living Dead". Yesterday, it was reported that Samuel William Hinzman passed away. He was the first zombie seen in the film & is often referred to as the "Cemetery Zombie". Hinzman is no stranger to the horror world; he had roles in not only the original Notld but in "Flesh Eater", "The Crazies", & "Santa Claws". Rip S. He was the silver screen’s first zombie and now he’s dead for real. George Romero’s Night Of The Living Dead (1968) was not technically the first zombie movie, but it was the first to present the living dead in the way that we know and love. Bill Hinzman played what’s known as “The Graveyard Zombie”, the flesh-eating, slow-moving ghoul who attacks Barbara (Judith O’Dea) and her brother in the iconic film’s opening minutes. Hinzman was a staple on the horror movie convention circuit and would often dress up in ratty clothes and zombie makeup to pose with his many fans. I had the pleasure of interviewing Hinzman onstage at the Kitbuilders Monstrous Weekend convention here in St. Louis three years ago and at midnight, I screened a 16mm print of Night Of The Living Dead which he sat and watched with us. Bill Hinzman had...

It's with deep sadness that we bring to you the news of the passing of Bill Hinzman this evening. We've lost another icon of the industry and more importantly one of the nicest and most genuine people we've ever had the chance of knowing.
Best known to fans everywhere as Zombie #1 or the Graveyard Zombie from the George A. Romero classic Night of the Living Dead, Hinzman has died after losing a bout with cancer. He was 75.
Bill Hinzman worked on numerous projects over the years, several of which were with Romero, such as There's Always Vanilla, Hungry Wives aka Season of the Witch, and of course The Crazies. On his own he tried his hand at directing with one of our favorite flicks, Flesh Eater.
A fixture on the convention circuit, Bill was always there with a smile for fans, often appearing in costume as the famed ghoul we all grew up with.
