The film equivalent of a Harlequin novel, this movie will have its fans

Rosemary is a personal assistant to a powerful businessman. He sends her out to inspect the progress of his buildings or convince a company to sign a merger on the dotted line. Although she is young and beautiful, Rosemary has no personal life. One day, however, she meets Steve, an author, at the bookstore. Although he has his share of deadlines, too, the two of them begin to meet for drinks or dinner. Many times, one of them is called to the telephone and has to depart quickly. Is it possible to kindle a romance during such brief encounters? This is a likable movie for those who go ga-ga over romance novels. The two stars are beautiful, charming people and make the most of their roles. However, the script is unimaginative and contrived, as most romance novels are. The production values are low, too. Ladies, do not make your male partners watch this one with you. They will be put through torture. Instead, if you love romantic movies, wait until the love of your life is doing something else. Then, slip on your pajamas and get yourself an afghan and a cup of hot chocolate, as you settle down to enjoy this movie. You will be in a happy state of nirvana, if only for a span of two hours.
