Primitive porn
lor_2 October 2022
Presence of John Holmes in the cast is responsible for the resurrection of this poor 1970 porn feature, surviving (after being "lost") in a quality print, but with scant quality to the production.

It amounts to little more than failed burlesque-style comedy sketches with Holmes leading other doctors in a practice, government-funded, devoted to treating nymphomania. A very dumb script, with the cast led by porn pioneer Ann Perry reciting lots of dialogue and overacting, silly slapstick, and limp dicks (Holmes, as usual, can hump a girl while remaining limp) make for a disaster.

Tommy Toole plays one of the doctors, and had a relative success the same year with the porn comedy "Tomatoes", but this movie only demonstrates what a breakthrough Gerard Damiano's "Deep Throat" was as a porn comedy two years later.

Worst gag here has Elliot March playing a masked, mute doctor who imitates Harpo Marx's famous bike horn sound replacing speech, vaudeville shtick dating back over 50 years. Movie ends with "group therapy", an overlong orgy scene with bananas as phallic symbols to represent penis envy and syrup (oddly instead of the porn trope of the era whipped cream) making for one big mess.

Some sources list Manuel S. Conde as the director, but this has yet to be confirmed.
