Incest, Southern-fried
lor_29 May 2015
Gotham-based producer Jack Bravman had previously dabbled in the incest genre with the elusive SEX FAMILY ROBINSON series, and here returns, hardcore-edition directing as well with his frequent collaborator Roberta Findlay handling the camera. Result is silly and overly improvisational.

Though the setting is strictly hicks-ville, that actually hints as a pun as to the real shoot -as revealed halfway through the film when the action lands at the Patchogue Sunrise All Weather Drive-In Theatre on Long Island.

With cast really hamming it up, story concerns cousin Suzy (Tina Russell) visiting her kin in North Carolina, and narrating her misadventures. Folks are an in-bred, over-sexed lot, led by Uncle Carl (Jason Russell, swapping non-blood in real life for blood relationship to his leading lady) who is trying his hand at shooting "Ay- dult" films (to hear him pronounce it) using his family as talent.

There's lesbian sex with cousin Nelly, more incest with Aunt Elsie and Cousin Zeke, plus Uncle Clyde (Jamie Gillis) always wearing his black cowboy hat, servicing an Indian maid named something like Hoki Tana.

Silliness also includes Uncle Clyde whipping Tina and Elsie. Later Uncle Carl f*cks his sister Elsie on a couch.

With merely okay sex scenes and dumb dialog, this tongue-in-cheek effort has no impact and drains its incest and other themes of any potency, opting for cheap laughs instead.
