Scrappy and Oopie audition for the executives at a Hollywood studio and get in; their first assignment is running the lunch room for all the movie stars, with a bunch of lunch room gags that would have been appropriate for a Keystone comedy twenty years earlier.... if there were no need to make things in the least realistic. This is a carton, after all.
Also, there are lots of caricatures of contemporary movie stars. Some are well remembered, like Garbo, the Marx Brothers, and Laurel & Hardy; some are a bt more obscure, like George Arliss; and one or two I had to take a guess at, like the one I think is Roscoe Ates. It's a lot of fun if you like that sort of thing, and I do.
