What Did Delilah Do With Samson's Hair?
boblipton24 March 2015
She knitted it into a cap. Several thousand years later, a little man named Willoughby buys it and performs feats of amazing strength in this very funny cartoon.

1943 was the year when the cartoon studios abandoned black and white, and this is among the last done by Columbia. So producer Dave Fleischer had director Bob Wickersham pour every visual and aural gag into it, from the expressionistic backgrounds, to the little man who is Willoughby, the pin-up sketch who's the damsel in distress and the daunting silhouette who's the villain, to the plummy-voiced narrator. Wickersham never did a funnier cartoon and proved you don't need a candy-box of color to make a fine cartoon.
