Various early XXX stars are featured in the forgettable porn film THE WINNING STROKE, notably John Holmes, Ric Lutze, Rick Cassidy, Cyndee Summers and Orita de Chadwick. They've all done better work.
Lutrze is cast as a reclusive tennis star, reluctant to give an interview to scribe De Chadwick. Cassidy is his manager and Holmes a buddy. Film is set at Lutze's mansion, where various groupie girls get down with him or in a case of mistaken identity with Cassidy. Holmes, needless to say, also scores his fair share of humping. In one scene a girl left out of the action briefly plays with a pussycat on the bed next to the protagonists - such a pet's presence is an oft-recurring motif in porn.
That's about it plot-wise. Ric's uncontrollable giggling is a drawback as usual, but Antoinette Maynard brightens things up as a prostitute thrown into the mix. The numerous films made by this same bunch, often together, in the earliest days of hardcore (1970/1971) are far more interesting and arousing than this filler.
It is speculated that Walt Davis directed, awaiting evidence.
