A newly wedded couple with aspirations meet a terrible fate in which the husband is seriously injured in an accident and the wife is raped just to find she is impregnated. Wife hides the truth and moves away for a while to give birth to a child. Later she tries to settle with her husband. The drama revolves in the convulses of what happens when the past triggers the life of the couples and what if the truth is revealed to the husband. The whole drama sets in the mental dilemma of the heroine of the repentance of her past and the influence it would have in her married life. The story is indeed interesting and Mumtaz's performance makes it thrilling. However, the story is told in a regular 70s style with mediocre songs and unnecessary comical characters which were thought necessary to stretch the film for a full length. The main story and the essence of the story comes quite later in the film. Mumtaz, unlike her bubbly image, acts a devout wife in a dilemma with much of seriousness in which she just fits, just like the role she played in "Tere Mere Sapne" from the same year. Jeetendra and Helen play the major roles, which were pretty regular. Just like other dramas, it's a pity to see high level of improbabilities and coincidences, which happens only in Hindi movies. Had the film touched a bit of spontaneity to real life situations, it would have been a nice film. Anyway, the film is watchable for Mumtaz and the interest the plot of the film creates.

Don't waste your time in this movie...Akshay kumar is looking 70 years old man loaded with same boring acting. He doesn't have anything new to give .

Just because i have to write a review that should container atleast 600 words i am forcing myself to write these lines otherwise who would like to waste time writing about a movie one couldnt even watch more than half an hour.
