Amusing little french comedy
searchanddestroy-12 August 2014
Two petty thugs look for a crime novelist in order to at last get the idea to pull the perfect heist. A film speaking of the influence that crime novels may have on people. But all here is very funny, pure comedy. Keep in mind that in the mid fifties, it was the period where gangsters novels entirely written in slang were in the fashion. The right atmosphere for this era. Typical french yarn. Nothing exceptional, not a masterpiece, with one of the earliest Jean Carmet's performances... There are still thousands of other french films hidden in vaults in waiting to be shown. Let's cross our fingers.

Directed by the prolific Jean Boyer.
