Just the thought of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde making a baby at their age is an opening for laughs.

Warning: Spoilers
Silent movie comic Andy Clyde turned sound short star was only 43 when this short was made, but he appears at least a decade older. As a grumpy old man who hates kids, and married to the chubby 60 year old Lillian Elliott, he begins to think she's pregnant because of the crate with baby clothes in it he finds. It's really for a much younger neighbor, but the lack of communication between Clyde and Elliott isn't really good as she's just accidentally broken his watch and thinks that this has made Andy start to loose his mind.

Nonsensical but filled with pratfalls and amusing misunderstandings, this isn't even sensible from a medical standpoint. Andy screams at kids to get off his lawn one moment and is passing out cigars the next. Veteran character actress Mary Gordon (the Sherlock Holmes series Mrs. Hudson) appears as an irritated neighbor. When Elliott starts to think that her husband is going looney, I began to wonder about the screenwriters.
