Labor camp in Hungary in closing months of WW2
w-2693013 October 2015
This is one of the most moving and realistic films on the Hungarian Jewish labor camp, quasi concentration camps playing out in the closing months of the 2nd World War. It recreates the atmosphere with superb characterization both of the oppressed and the oppressors and those in between. Such films could only be done by people who have actually experienced and went through those terrible times. Many did not survive. It is important that such films were made as now these times have receded into history. I lived through these times and my father was in such a camp before he was further sent to Mauthausen. By some miracle, he survived. A GREAT FILM (sadly neglected though can be viewed on YOUTUBE).
