at first sigh, one of many films from Communist Romania. same recipes, not different story. but, not just piece from long chain. the cause - a good director and the perfect cast. first - Ilarion Ciobanu as leader of a village community. his performance is not a surprise but his art to give necessary nuances to character represents a good point. than Vladimir Gaitan as the young engineer , author of a kind of revolution. the conflict between lead characters, Mircea Diaconu in role of the Vlad friend - in same line with his style -, Draga Olteanu Matei in a nice role are pieces who makes this film almost interesting. but the basic piece is the science to reduct the influence of politic. and that is the real its great virtue.
