Prepared to be seriously turned on by Kelly Nichols and friends
Woodyanders12 December 2016
Warning: Spoilers
The always delectable Kelly Nichols hosts this educational outing in which various beautiful women demonstrate assorted ancient practices and techniques pertaining to carnal fulfillment.

Director Lawrence Talbot does an ace job of crafting and sustaining a supremely sensual atmosphere. Basically the cinematic equivalent of the legendary erotic tome the Kama Sutra, this highly alluring affair covers such subjects as using vaginal juice as perfume, the importance of foreplay, the benefits of female masturbation, the art of full body massage (make sure not to use too much oil!), getting a man erect, playing with a woman's nipples, the proper use of a vibrator, fellatio, cunnilingus, straight copulation, and multiple sexual positions. The sultry-voiced Nichols handles her hostess duties with smoldering aplomb. The sex scenes are quite tender and erotic, with Kelly's big number at the end rating as an absolute scorcher. Further enhanced by lush soft focus cinematography by Phil Gries and a hypnotic synthesizer score by Andre and Randy Jetson, this one is essential viewing for Kelly Nichols fans.

Education from Nichols

Turn on with Kelly Nichols (1984)

** 1/2 (out of 4)

Kelly Nichols plays hostess for this education porno movie. Basically we have Nichols narrating various things that deal with sex. This includes oral sex, how to properly pleasure your partner, foreplay, various toys and several other subjects.

In the early 70s there were several porno movies that were released as educational films so that they could try and play on movie screens without too much protest. Obviously by 1984 porn was legal so this type of education film was aimed at couples who were wanting to spice up their sex life a little. For the most part this is a mildly entertaining film but at the same time there are some major flaws to be found here.

The biggest flaw is the fact that the 78-minute running time feels about as long as THE GODFATHER. I saw that because there are so many scenes that were shot in slow-motion that it just seemed like the film kept dragging on. I'm sure the director was trying to bring an erotic touch by using the slow motion but it just doesn't work at all. What does work is Nichols whose narration is quite good and she finally gets in on the action during the final ten-minutes and this is of course the highlight of the picture.
