At the Campus the surgery of death graffiti has been mostly scrubbed off. Ruth is having a crisis of confidence as she battles with the computer system. Michelle helps Ruth get things sorted and the two girls bond.
Later in the day Ruths boyfriend Davey turns up at the Campus surgery with a bouquet of flowers for Ruth. Michelle is impressed by how nice he seems. Ruth tells a jealous Michelle of Daveys plan to take her to dinner that evening. Michelle reassures Ruth that she is doing well at the Campus. Ruth smiles but disappears as she looks at herself in the mirror.
Meanwhile, Jason Junior Neville (28) is cooking breakfast when Tony Crawford (27) enters, he is leaving a voicemail to his wife Ali. He pulls a bottle of acamprosate out of the cupboard. The radio seems to be getting louder and Tony is struggling. He looks at the calendar and realises he has missed a doctors appointment to get a repeat prescription. Junior tells him he doesnt need them to stay off the drink, Tony is not so sure.
At the Mill Daniel asks Vivien if Tony Crawford has called to rearrange his missed appointment. When told he hasnt Daniel sets off to speak to Tony.
At Tonys Daniel discovers Junior is an old army mate of Tonys. Daniel asks Tony to reconsider his decision to stop taking the medication. Junior assures Daniel that he will be there to help Tony. Something about Junior rubs Daniel up the wrong way. Daniel manages to get Tony to accept a new prescription. Daniel is about to drive away from Tonys when he spots Junior selling packets of cigarettes to some teens from Tonys flat.
Daniel goes back to speak to Tony. Tony explains that he and junior where in Afghanistan together and the vehicle they were in got hit by a grenade and ho Junior came back to save him and got badly injured. Daniel raises his concerns about what Junior might really be selling in the cigarette packets. Tony quickly defends Junior and shows Daniel the door.
Back at the Mill Daniel is discussing Tonys situation with Vivien when Jimmi overhears and suggest it sounds like a case of cuckoo-ing to him. It means that a drug dealer will supply from someone elses house and when the police move in the dealer blames the tenant and the tenant could end up in jail or lose his home.
Back at the flat Tony is getting more and more agitated by the television. The noise seems to be getting louder. Junior appears and Tony tells him that Daniel thinks he is dealing. Junior manages to reassure Tony that Daniel is wrong.
Tonys wife Ali comes to the Mill to speak to Daniel and Daniel tells her he is concerned about the influence Junior is having over him. Daniel convinces Ali to come to Tonys with him. She tries to get Tony to see that Junior is using him, he wont listen and she leaves. Tony confronts Junior and asks him to leave. Junior refuses and threatens to take Tony down with him if the police arrest him. Tony leaves a newsagents with a bag of beer. He opens one but as he drinks from it he sees a mother and child, this reminds him of what he is risking and he throws the bag of booze away.
Daniel drives Ali home and questions whether Tony has ever had any tests since the attack in Afghanistan. Daniel thinks Tony might have suffered a mild traumatic brain injury and this might account for some of his symptoms. Tony arrives and explains Juniors threat. Ali can smell the alcohol and refuses to listen to Tony. Daniel convinces him that his only option is to speak to the police.
We see Junior outside Tonys flat exchanging cash for a packet of cigarettes when an unmarked police car pulls up. Junior rushes inside. The police break the door down ad catch Junior with drugs in his hand. Junior sneers at Tony as he is taken away. Tony feels terrible as Junior was his hero. Daniel tells Tony that he thinks he might be suffering some after affects of the grenade attack and that he has booked him for an MRI scan at St Phils. Ali arrives with Rae.
