I remember this movie watched long back. In fact my mother took us to watch movie by saying that it is the movie has song 'aaj paheli tarikh hai, khush hai zamana aaj paheli tarikh hai . . '. This song was played by an Indian radio station on the first day of every month (I do not know whether it is still continuing or not .. !) . . . The movie started with this title song . . but . . then the tragedy started till the end and we all cried a lot along with whole theater.
As a mature person, I realize now that it was a good movie for a urban middle class family. The situation was true and still true for most of the middle and lower middle class of urban India.
I would remain curious if I get a chance to watch this movie again... I have given 5/10 just like that . .I may increase by watching it again.
