Just great, music and all!

Blackmailing Santa is a fun, hip, family film, with a great look, and an excellent musical score! It's obvious that director Maurer has a keen understanding of modern film making, as well as a grasp of good old fashioned storytelling. The film combines several classic Hollywood genres in a whimsical style that is sure to delight young and old alike. Composer Bill Wandel's musical score adds a great deal of texture, excitement, and sentiment to this cheerful holiday story. I commend the entire production crew.

Great for everyone in the family!!!

This film was a very pleasant surprise as I made my way through the database! While watching it I found myself wanting my kids to see it as well as all my buddies who I watch the Simpsons and Malcom in the Middle with religiously. It has the innocence of and the sophisticated, intelligent comedic edge of classics such as Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Pee Wee's Playhouse and Jim Henson's Muppet Show.

This movie get's a ten from me because it is a satifying, well made comedy that has the potential to put a smile on the faces of the most whizzened critics as well as the six year old beginnner film buffs of the world!!!

Great job guys! Can't wait to see more from ya!

Finally a Good Short Film for Families!!!

I'm so glad this web site has a place for registering thoughts and comments! I'm always searching for 'jewels' in the short film category. I think I've found a diamond in 'Blackmailing Santa'! I rarely ever come across a good short film that I think would be appropriate for families (and by that I mean CHILDREN!) I was thrilled to finally see a beautifully touching short film with a solid story that I won't be afraid to write home

An awesome family flick!

This film is great. I love the modern fast paced style - sure to entertain adults and kids alike. It's refreshing to see people making good short films for a family audience - this seems to be an area that new film makers are ignoring. I think the director and writer show real promise - defiantly names to watch.
