This is a popular Hong Kong drama, featuring three generations of family members living in a fairly large row home in Hong Kong. They go through the ups and downs in life and strive to resolve issues plaguing each other.

The acting is spot on, each character giving a heartfelt and dramatic performance. The plot has it all, from suspense to drama and from humor to thrills.

Each episode features stories that is gripping and unpredictable, making you eager to find out what happens next.

It was the Hong Kong TV series to watch of the 1980s. It was one I watched when I was a kid.

Many stories intricately woven together

Character development at its peak. This drama ran for many years and told the story of the members of the Tong family. The family was close, and the kids (young adults who lived in the home) were raised with good values and under the watchful eye of their Ma-Da. As they all each went through their respective trials and tribulations, the audience was ultimately reminded of the importance of family.

The stories were well-told and acting top-notch. I watched this on VHS tapes multiple times and never grew tired of it. Would purchase today if available.
