I prefer Greenaway
lor_16 May 2011
One of my favorite Italian erotica directors, Luca Damiano, has made many films with the "laundry list" title formation innovated by Peter Greenaway back with THE COOK, THE THIEF, etc. This is the chintziest of Luca's I've seen so far, not recommended.

It's a cheaply made, shot-on-video porn entry with some attractive women but a throwaway premise. Luca regulars Roberto Malone and Richard Lengin are shutterbugs, not so much paparazzi as merely trying to get dirty pictures to sell (I guess I respect that endeavor more than I do paparazzi).

Video opens with them spying on a princess (lovely Eva Falk), getting photos of her having a lesbian liaison out on lawn chairs. Her bodyguards find them, rough 'em up and grab the cameras.

Strip-teaser is shown cavorting in a disco with hokey back-lighting and, natch, disco music, again as our shutterbugs snap shots. She has a three way sex scene with them, joined by a Juliet Anderson-type blonde for a foursome.

One bodyguard gets some, in a sex scene with the princess, culminating in a "fountains" ejaculation shot towards the camera -cries out for the currently annoying 3-D gimmickry.

Finally, the bodyguards are tricked, with two girls as bait, while Malone & Lengin snap more incriminating photos, which get published much to their delight in a skin mag. Pointless exercise ends with the princess in a four-way.

This is low-grade porn, which matched aside Luca's usual output would merit his 35mm period films as Oscar contenders. Like his peers, he definitely was guilty of shooting low at times, just to crank out some more titles.
