Built in 1820, the site was home to both a jail and courthouse serving all of Argyll. Over 6,000 people were tried and held in the prison's eight cells. Now a museum, visitors report many ghostly incidents, including whispering, clanking chains and dark figures cowering in the shadows. The team has one night to investigate these stories, but who will visit them during the late-night vigils?

The castle has been the seat of the Dukes of Argyll since the beginning of the 15th century. The present castle is the third to have been built on the site, and its guests have included King James V and Mary Queen of Scots. With stories of harp music being heard, a grey lady walking the halls and sightings of serving staff in ancient garb, there is plenty of ghostly activity for the team.

Built in 1702, this building was home to the father of immunology, Edward Jenner, whose work helped eradicate smallpox. A famous photo taken in the museum's attic is believed to depict the ghost of Jenner himself.
