To celebrate acclaimed Bollywood playback singer Sunidhi Chauhan’s UK tour, the team at BollySpice thought it would be cool to put together a special feature which looks at her greatest songs. Sunidhi is unsurprisingly in-demand amongst Bollywood filmmakers, who want her voice to be mimed by some of the hottest actresses in the industry. Her success is evident in the fact that she will be gracing the stage of the prestigious Royal Albert Hall in London this Friday as part of her UK tour.
Having first acquired popularity by singing the songs for the film Mast (1999), Sunidhi is considered one of few who can use her voice to give it that provocative touch. She has sung to some of Bollywood’s most iconic tracks and has to some extent contributed towards the popularity of actresses like Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor and Bipasha Basu by lending them her voice in their films.

At 82, Lata Mangeshkar remains the undisputed queen of all she sur-weighs. And now comes the news that she is all set to record the indomitable lines of a number of Hindi poets, including Harivanshrai Bachchan in her invincible voice.
Apparently, the idea came to the Nightingale after surveying the current musical scene. Says a source close to Mangeshkar, "Didi's voice is in amazing form these days. She sounds in peak form. She has seldom felt more enthused in recent years. She wants to do something special. Film lyrics and compositions don't inspire her any more, so she decided to sift through the works of eminent Hindi poets to sing their lines. Among the poets she has zeroed in on are Mathailisharan Gupt and Harivanshrai Bachchan. Many more unsung poets would figure in her album which would be the ultimate homage to Hindi poets."

MusicLalit PanditMusic Composer 1. Sapnon Mein Agar Mere Tum Aao Toh So Jaon: Composed by Madan Mohan, this is one of my favourite songs. The composition is wonderful and Lataji’s soft falsetto touches your soul. I feel deeply connected to its melody. Listening to this song is like an addiction.2. Jaane Jaan: This song from Jawaani Deewani is exciting in many ways. It’s one of the first songs in which the bass guitar was introduced and played wonderfully. It is beautifully sung and still sounds modern. I love the counter-harmony that Asha ji sings when the mukhda is being sung by ...

25 years after Jawaani, Anupam Kher and Sharmila Tagore have faced the camera together again. The film in question is Morning Walk, which brings the veteran actors together. Surprisingly, in spite of the fact that both of them have been pretty active in the film circuit for decades, no filmmaker thought of casting them together. However, debutant director Arup Dutta grabbed the opportunity and brought them together in Morning Walk which is said to be 'a beautiful and heart tugging tale of two families different from one another yet connected through a special bond'. The first ever production of Inox Motion Pictures, Morning Walk also stars Rajit Kapoor, Divya Dutta, Shayan Munshi & Nargis (Garam Masala, Pranali) in principal roles. Moreover, the Morning Walk is also special since it also features the 'Balika Vadhu' girl Avika Gor, who would be making her big screen debut with the film. In Jawani, Anupam Kher...
