Worst In a Lifetime
j_raeIL19 January 2005
Saw this short @ a film fest in NYC. It was the laughing stock of the entire night! Looked like it was filmed with a camcorder and acting students. If I recall correctly it was about a down and out loser who gets dumped by his drunk girlfriend. He then has sexual fantasies about some lady he meets. I remember a particular scene that was blatantly an attempt to get some "skin" in the film. I heard it was a film school prank from southern California or something. This guy who entered it acted like he was a big shot LA producer, he acted like a shmutz with a hairpiece and everything! We all had a good laugh, I hope that this expands to feature, what a hoot!

Terrible
celloshred1 March 2007
Not even worth the time. It starts like a low budget porn. And yes, it appears to be filmed on a camcorder.

Terrible acting, especially the 'drunk' wife. Their fights were retarded, totally unbelievable. Even their 'home' didn't even look like a house. ANNNNND for a guy that makes $10k a week (and the wife who makes $5k a week) you would think they wouldn't have a ghetto kitchen that looks like it was from an apartment in Korea town. Lame fantasy story, its as if the writer WISHES he made that amount of money when in reality he just had the lame wife who probably wasn't even a drunk, she just couldn't stand him.

Lame story.

Bad everything.

God this was horrible

Warning: Spoilers
It's funny how the guy who wrote this piece of crap comes on here and posts an amazing "review" of the thing. I've seen all of Uwe Bolls work, and this is by far the worst thing ever put on film. Based on this short, I don't see why anybody would want to pony up some money in order to turn this into a feature. The writing was cliché, the acting was horrible, and the direction was substandard. It even surpasses the "so bad, its kinda good" level and ends up just being frustrating. So its about this guy who, in a very clichéd scene, breaks up with his controlling wife (or girlfriend) who is looking to milk him out of some money or something like that. The guy ends up going to some office and meeting a secretary who he pictures naked. Then, he and the secretary take the guy's daughter on many walks through the magic of a montage. Don't waste your time trying to look for this thing on the net. Your time would be better spent watching paint dry.

Touching 20 minute romantic short film
RandolphM196624 December 2003
This was screenwriter/executive producer Randolph Hirsch's first effort in filmmaking.

Funny and emotional, this romantic love story, is Mr. Hirsch's "calling card" to the industry -- and is a must see.

The twenty minute short film's world premiere screening took place at the New York International Independent Film Festival in Manhattan, in front of a packed house on November 9th, 2003.

View the short film on IFILM.com.

Randy M. Hirsch's recently completed feature screenplay, ONCE IN A LIFETIME -- "JUST GO FOR IT!" based on the same story, is now in pre-production.

Hirsch is slated to write, produce and direct the upcoming feature film in 2004.
