- The opening scene involves the violent gas explosion with the manhole covers flying out and smashing into cars, store windows at night. But a security guard who goes out to check the warehouse opens the door and it explodes and knocks him to the ground, he is later injured but okay.
- One of the sewer workers makes a bad choice to light a cigarette while in the underground sewer and it causes the gas leak to explode and gets killed in the explosion, while his 2 other workers run for cover and survive.
- Scott Daniels, discovers the woman mayor unconscious in her car in the underground parking lot and takes her to safety to exit door and escapes but the sparks causes the underground parking lot to explode from the gas leak.

- Scott Daniels chases down Chief Patterson who is a suspect in the neighborhood area who is about to throw a stick of dynamite in the sewer hole but someone calls his cellphone and he commits suicide and blows himself up off camera.
