King Dhananand had imprisoned Chanak for trying to create awareness in the people and kills him. Vishnu, Chanak's son, takes the initiative to become Chanak's succeder as Chanakya. The next day, as usual Chanakya leaves home for gathering alms. But due Chanak he doesn't get any alms and in return he is blamed to be a traitor's son. In this situation, Chanakya's mother dies and finding no reason to live in that village, Chanakya leaves the village. Chanak had stopped eating and had died after three days. Vakranas realises his fault and releases Shaktar. Milind goes to Shaktar's house to meet him but Shaktar warns him not to come to his house. Vakranas meets Shaktar and offers him the position of Prime Minister again but Shaktar refuses it.

Shishupal (Shaktar's spy) informs Shaktar of the new taxes being imposed by King Dhanananda. Shaktar is ordered by the ministers council to appoint officials for the collection of taxes on all items. Shaktar's belief in clean administration and service to the poor is ridiculed by his peers. But Shaktar reminds king Dhanananda of his responsibilities and obligations to the people.

Sushidhartak reveals that it was Amatya who sent him with a message and jewelry to Chandragupta. To add to the tension Sushidhartak reveals that the necklace man by Amatya was Pauravraj. Vishnugupta then recalls Amatya that the center drama of the jewelry the capture of Shaktadas was a ploy to get Amatya back to Patliputra. He then appoints Amatya as Chandraguptas prime minister.
