Last episode of the fifth season was a topical one then(and remains so today) that examines humans fascination with the sun, from ancient cultures who made sacrifices to it, to modern times, where people go out of their way to get a tan, even though the risks of skin cancer are great. More interestingly, it looks at the untapped potential of the sun, and how it is a potential gold mine of unlimited and renewable energy, and the reasons why it has yet to be used efficiently in this manner. Instead, modern society continues to use non-renewable fossil fuels like oil and coal, which have led to wars over its control, when the sun is available to everyone. Some communities have embraced its use, but not enough, as unused solar power remains...

In Search Of... "Sun Worshippers" (1981)
The final episode in season five has us taking a look at some people who worshiped the sun back in the day. We are then asked if there's a connection between current people who like to layout in the sun for tans. Are these people a form of something from the past who worshiped the sun Gods? And, if that same God a vengeful one who delivers skin cancer? The last half of the episode takes a look at solar power and its place in the future. I must admit that I found this episode to be rather stupid and especially trying to connect skin cancer to some sort of sun God. The entire idea that people are tanning because of some built it connection to the past was also rather silly. With that said, it's still slightly entertaining.
