Sanam Harjai review :

One of my worst movie experiences ever, Saawan Kumar Tak's Sanam Harjai was a sheer torture. I had seen the film at Bandra's Galaxy cinema and still recollect that nearly half of the audience walked out of the hall before the film ended. I sat till the end though!! But then Ive sat through duds like RGV Ki Aag (2007) as well as Boom (2003).

Inspired from SRKs Baazigar (1993), Sanam Harjai wouldn't have been half as bad without its debutant lead called Himanshu. This guy was absolute pits and had the rare ability to turn even the most serious scene in to a comedy by his constant grinning at the camera. Its appalling how a veteran director like Saawan Kumar okayed his shots.

The heroines - Simran and Saadhika - looked pretty and were decent performers but then, there was nothing much for them to salvage when the Himanshu, on other side, was acting like a clown.

Sanam Harjai is a movie I wouldnt even recommend to my sworn enemy. It is etched in my memory only for testing my endurance to the hilt!!!

Regards, Sumeet Nadkarni.
