Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • Humans, mutants and aliens fight with no mercy constantly through the film. There is also several shootouts and assaults, along with a dozen people being mind-controlled and turned into something like a zombie. Most of these scenes have mild gore apart from the rare few that have blood stains and splatters, along with people dying in large numbers.
  • Being a giant monster film, hundreds upon hundreds of buildings are destroyed, and entire cities get levelled and decimated.
  • Severe violence, but nothing exceeding a PG-13 rating or what would typically be found in an average violent superhero film.

Profanity

  • This movies has the second most swearing in a Godzilla movie. The first one being Godzilla King of the Monsters (2019).
  • A New York cop is yelling at someone and says "you shut the hell up." But it is clearly dubbed because if you look at his lips he is saying "you shut the f**k up."
  • Mild language here and there, including 3 or 4 uses of "s**t",And 1 Word Of B**ch

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Monster X and Keizer Ghidorah have dark and evil designs, albeit very cool for children who are used to it. The transformation scene where Monster X becomes Keizer Ghidorah might be scary to young viewers who are not used to things like it.
  • Hedorah's design is weird and potentially frightening, being a pollution creature made of slop with protrusions that shoot out fatal chemical gas
  • Both of Gigan's versions in this movie, especially his later chainsaw version, may be very frightening to younger viewers.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • Ebirah is killed with a blast of powerful atomic breath, pushing Ebirah back and in turn killing the panicked Hedorah who waves its arms frantically as Ebirah's claw stabs into its eye and they both fall limp. No blood, but quite a brutal death.
  • A man is shot and blood pours out of the wound. He coughs up blood, and soon his head splits open, revealing that he is, in fact, an alien.
  • Kamacuras gets impaled on a pylon. No blood is shown, just the monster screeching briefly.
  • Parts of Mothra's wings are cut off. She sacrifices herself to destroy Gigan. This might upset some viewers, along with one scene where Godzilla is slowly dying and losing power but he gets healed and destroys his opponent.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Zilla rampages a city, before coming across Godzilla and getting blown up with intense explosions in the Sydney Opera House. The monster is implied to have died due to the explosions and painful roar. This could be a little bit frightening to young viewers, but it isn't anything to really worry about.
