Great story, dialogue, and acting

One of the better drama of Viva films in the 80's, Catherine (Hilda Koronel) leads a happy life , with boyfriend Rustan (Christopher de Leon). Things changed when her mother remarried. Rustan was a loving fiancé and offered moral support. His sound advice was to leave her mom alone, let her be happy. Catherine however, cannot leave her mom alone with her new family. This is an engrossing movie from start to finish. I especially like the two leads, Catherine was tough and Rustan was reasonable. When Rustan was begging for forgiveness in the rain, other story lines would have Catherine running to kiss him. But no, Catherine could not take what she saw in the bedroom, his boyfriend with her mortal enemy. There are plenty of Good dialogue exchanges between Hilda and Gloria Romero ( asawa muna bago anak!), between Christopher and Eddie Garcia ( tanga lang ang nagpapapikot!) and of course, between Hilda and Amy Austria.

This is a thoroughly satisfying drama until the last scene, this is Guillen's return to directing, and what a comeback ! Worth watching again.
