As Amazon Freevee’s hoax reality series “Jury Duty” is currently garnering huge amounts of attention, the format originator is staging a comeback. TBS is set to announce Wednesday that it has ordered a revival of “The Joe Schmo Show,” which will air next year on the cabler.
The original “Joe Schmo” premiered in 2003 on Spike TV, with a follow-up in 2004 and then a third season revival in 2013. Created by Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, “Joe Schmo” made waves when it first debuted for parodying the then-relatively new and white-hot reality competition genre.
The new “Joe Schmo” will be hosted by Cat Deeley (“So You Think You Can Dance”) and once again center on a show-within-a-show in which one non-acting civilian thinks he’s competing on a reality series — when he’s actually in a scripted environment surrounded by improv comedians.

Spoiler Alert: Do not read ahead if you have not watched Season 7, Episode 9, of “The Masked Singer,” “One Mask Hurrah – Round 3 Finals,” which aired May 4 on Fox.
Alas, En Vogue couldn’t hold on, and this time, it was Shaggy. Both 1990s artists were eliminated on Wednesday night during the Round 3 finales of this season’s “The Masked Singer.”
The En Vogue trio of Terry Ellis, Cindy Herron and Rhona Bennett were unmasked as the Queen Cobra, while Shaggy was revealed to be the Space Bunny.
For Queen Cobra, Nicole Scherzinger figured out it was En Vogue, and Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg agreed. Robin Thicke thought it was another 90s R&b group, Swv; and Ken Jeong went big with the more contemporary combo of Ariana Grande/Jessie J/Nicki Minaj.
As for Space Bunny, Thicke was correct with Shaggy, and Scherzinger agreed. McCarthy Wahlberg thought it was Sean Kingston and Ken Jeong guessed Owen Wilson.

After seven seasons on the air, “The Masked Singer” is still making history. First a contestant choked on stage, then she stormed off in a diva fit. Now, a costume had to be warned by production not to defecate on camera. Yep, you read that right. “They told me that I could do anything I wanted out here except poop on the stage,” revealed Baby Mammoth during the April 20 episode. “And so I’m gonna take a very big win. Because although you can poop in the circus, you are not allowed on this show.”
The four panelists — Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong and Nicole Scherzinger — were gobsmacked at hearing the fluffy pink elephant say that. Spoiler Alert: Do not read ahead if you have not watched Season 7, Episode 6, of “The Masked Singer,” “The Double Mask-Off — Round 2 Finals,” which aired April 13 on Fox.

Armadillo aka Chapman was voted out after singing the traditional hymn “Amazing Grace.” Previous songs he performed included “Secret Agent Man,” by Johnny Rivers and “I Fought the Law,” by the Bobby Fuller Four.

The Group B semi-finals took place on Wednesday night’s episode of “The Masked Singer,” with two performers unmasking before the hour was over. Mallard was the first costumed crooner to reveal himself as “Duck Dynasty” reality TV Star Willie Robertson. His performance of “Fly” by Sugar Ray wasn’t enough to advance the billed bird to the Group B finals.

The first night I thought, there is no way. Most of the people that you named, I’m friends with. So I was laughing a lot because I was like, ‘he’s gonna die when he finds out they thought I was him.

Spoiler Alert: Do not read ahead if you have not watched “The Masked Singer” Season 6, Episode 10, “Group B Semi-Finals,” which aired November 17 on Fox.
There has perhaps never been a more on-the-nose costume on “The Masked Singer” than “Duck Dynasty” star Willie Robertson as the Mallard. In a reality TV heavy night for “The Masked Singer,” Robertson was unmasked as Mallard, and “Queer Eye” star/interior designer Bobby Berk was revealed to be the Caterpillar, as seen on the tenth episode of Season 6, “Group B Semi-Finals.”
“I was just hiding in plain sight, I guess,” said Robertson — who pointed out that technically the character he was dressed as is not actually a mallard. “That thing was awesome, and I let them know it’s not a mallard, it’s a wood duck. I knew the difference, but then we thought it would be a funny throwoff clue.”
For Mallard, no one got Robertson right.

Brian Laundrie, the man wanted for questioning in the murder of his girlfriend Gabby Petito, has been confirmed dead. The Denver Division of the FBI confirmed on Twitter that remains found on Wednesday in Florida match his dental records. “On October 21, 2021, a comparison of dental records confirmed that the human remains found at the T. Mabry Carlton, Jr. Memorial Reserve and Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park are those of Brian Laundrie,” the statement read.
Petito’s disappearance during a camping trip with Laundrie caused a media firestorm in recent weeks, which escalated when her body was found in Wyoming’s Bridger-Teton National Forest on Sept. 19, and an autopsy concluded she died by homicide.
Laundrie and Petito embarked on a cross-country van trip in July 2021 that was set to last for four months. After multiple eyewitness reports of altercations between the couple, Laundrie flew from Wyoming to his family home in Florida on Sept.
