It's a student movie, and should also been seen as one.

This is the third comment written on this movie, the first was very positive, the second very negative. The negative one wrote that the positive was written by a member of the CH7 staff. My comment will be rather positive and I have nothing to do with the production of the movie.

I've read an article on a newspaper about CH7, it was free to download so I gave it a try. I liked it and today after seeing it for the third time I still had fun.

Of course CH7 has a lot of technical problems, the footage goes from acceptable to very poor (there are for example night scenes that are clearly shot on daylight and then retouched). The color in general is sometimes bright and of good quality but other times it seems very washed out and shot with low res cams.

I liked the cut of the movie, it's a bit weird sometimes but this is OK for the story that is presented. The music is also very poor, but not disturbing. There is only a Mission Impossible similar tune that is maybe used too many times.

Speech sound is a bit worse, in some scenes it's difficult to understand some lines because they are to low, and there are speeches where the question is with a good volume but the answer is impossible to hear.

The acting is sometimes very amateur, but the main part of the time it's acceptable and its supports the story.

And now to the important part, which makes this movie interesting: the story. The plot is very linear with some very funny moments, I really enjoyed it, and the main idea of the medias that manipulates the news, the girl group that can't sing and the main characters that wants to fight this problems is very well presented in a pleasant ironical way.

CH7 can't compete whit a real movie, here I must agree with the negative comment. But it's an effort of a group of young people to create something with their own hands and the result is an enjoyable film: compared to a real movie it is technically very poor, but it still has something to tell and I thanks the CH7 staff for giving me a nice story that proves that a movie can also be made with low budget.

I'm waiting for their next projects.

Warning: Spoilers
CH7 is the first true and serious Creative-Common Product I ever went to see and therefore was a great experience. It can actually be downloaded in VC1 (the very-proprietary codec formerly known as WMV-9), Quicktime (just as bad) and DivX (slightly better, but why doesn't anyone ever use XviD?) from the website. But enough technical detail, let's get some content: Satirical enough about TV specifically and media generally in the (partially) German speaking countries it also uses some intelligent techniques to convey the idea of the picture from time to time. Interesting as they may be, tough, one get's the feeling that the film-makers don't quite manage to perpetuate the message, though. In some parts the film looks like an ordinary TV production, in some parts it can compete with cinematographical idols. There is one great scene in an elevator where

the protagonist and her companions try to convince or merely force a passing-by person to act as a major role in the picture they are shooting after they failed to do it with a friend of theirs.

* END SPOILER *

The performance at that point is great, the mise-en-scène above average and the humor convincing. Though some weak parts remain.

But overall I have to say that I enjoyed that picture quite more than many movies shown in cinema nowadays. A general spirit of freshness and creativity is conveyed, that mainstream Hollywood flicks are mostly lacking these days.
