Baseball umps are actually human.
t-l-marek4 September 2006
Warning: Spoilers
A well written script and dialogue, good acting and beautiful lighting, all combine to maximize the drama found in the world of these baseball umpires. The film is very tastefully and artistically made. The pacing and revelation of the characters' personalities quickly grab the viewer's attention and hold it as the intensity builds. A curious glimpse is given into the lives of men with a job to do professionally as they struggle to deal with their day to day issues on a human level. A particularly strong and confident performance is given by Neil Crone. One hopes not to get caught peering in on the personal, private moments of these vulnerable baseball workers. A powerful haunting quality is added by the music in the sound track. For a short film, hopefully it's "in and out quick and no one gets hurt".
