Its no-name cast relegating it to instant obscurity, "Peaches" a decade-plus later emerges as a very pleasant porno video. It's hard to recommend, but a happy result of my current "random" (more or less) perusal of other eras' Adult titles.
Farrah, who doesn't resemble Farrah Fawcett in the slightest, is the star and holds the distinction of having escaped detection from those idle IMDb-freaks who pen a repetitive and usually meaningless hype-bio to every porn star ever invented. Actual central character is played by journeyman Adult player Brick Majors (couldn't come up with a better stage name?) who plays Steve, a ladies man who expects a big inheritance once his uncle's will is read.
He is bequeathed moolah and property but under the proviso that he marries, consummates the marriage and stays with unc's main squeeze Peaches for a year. In very typical rom-com fashion Peaches and Steve take an instant dislike to each other, even being insulting during the wedding ceremony. Rom-com fans will hardly be flabbergasted as they cornily get to appreciate each other in time for a final reel clinch (and XXX hump).
Veteran director Toni English, whose well-done series of Penthouse videos using the moniker "Kelly Holland" I've been enjoying lately, uses a light touch in this opus which is so warm and sunny throughout (featuring lots of extremely well-photographed outdoor sex) that it has even less impact than it sounds. But it is nice to watch such a subdued, friendly video -even though obviously the marketplace, perhaps like another dying, decadent culture, Ancient Rome, is demanding more and more sensationalism. Remember, we live in the age of Tarantino, not Ernst Lubitsch.
Besides Farrah & Majors (oops!, just by typing this I stumbled upon the coincidence of their casting as the porn leads, good old Lee Majors lurking in the background), I was impressed by the big breasts and anal skills of Angelica Sin as humpee of Brick's best friend Rob, plus the always reliable Lola who has the lead-off sex scene with Brick that set the show in motion.
And for those of you who don't believe in coincidences, note that Farrah starred in a vehicle "I Dream of Farrah" in which the leading man was Steve Austin, the porn actor (not the wrestler) chosen for his Lee Majors-derived moniker.
