Cute little movie

I love cycling topic films, and I like sport plots films in general. This is a small movie made for TV in 1983. And above all, I am a great André Pousse 's fan. Here, for once, he doesn't play a gangster but a former cyclist champion, which he was in real life, back in the 40's. This is a light drama, or slightly comedy about a grand father - Pousse - who tries his best to make his grand son a champion too. Because the grand father could not proceed his career when he was young after he was heavily wounded by an accident. So, from now on, the grand father intended to take a revenge on his own failure through the success of his grand son, who was a reflection of himself when he was his age. But the boy's father - Pousse's son - doesn't agree because he is afraid that his son, because of cyclist races, will neglect his studies. And a love story between the young man and a girl brings some feud between the grand son and his elder. It is smoother than CONTRE LA MONTRE (2001) starring Olivier Gourmet, where it was about doping and drug use in the sport. Excellent ending, in the line of many horrors movies: nothing is finished. Continuity? Awesome.
