The DC Universe is home to some of the strongest and most iconic superhero characters of all time. With the likes of Batman, Superman, Aquaman, Green Arrow, and many more. However, one character is more popular than the lot— The Flash. Over the years, the Speedster has gained immense popularity as he has been part of different narrative elements in the Dcu, including a standalone film and being part of the Arrowverse.

One of the primary reasons for his massive popularity was how Grant Gustin portrayed the role of Barry Allen also known as The Flash. Gustin’s portrayal of the character is loved by the audience of the show, but he was quite close to getting replaced by an actor, who was featured as a villain in the Arrowverse.

While there have been many recognizable stars who have played Batman on screen, the credit for the distinctive voice of the character in various animated series and video games goes to the late Kevin Conroy. Beginning his stint with Batman: The Animated Series in 1992, Conroy went on to voice the iconic superhero in many television series and video games for over 3 decades.

The artist’s final portrayal of Batman was in 2022 for the video game Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League in which he lent his voice for the cult superhero who tragically dies at the end. These days Marvel has been doing a pretty poor job of making films, before 2019 the franchise was a powerhouse, constantly delivering cinematic entertainment, with smash-hit box office records; all along with narrating a captivating superhero tale. However, the franchise has faced a steady decline in its popularity because after Avengers: Endgame, only a few films have marked a lasting impact in the minds of its viewers.
Batman and Catwoman in Batman: The Long Halloween, Part One
Nevertheless, the franchise should learn from their rivals, DC as Butch Lukic, the producer of Batman: The Long Halloween shares how they all agreed to come up with the idea of adapting the storyline of The Long Halloween. The film was a massive success, featuring Jensen Ackles lending as the voice behind Bruce Wayne/ Batman in the fan-favorite animated film.

Nickelback and Hardy team up for an epic collaboration as part of the iconic CMT Crossroads series. So, what can listeners expect from this latest crossover?
CMT Crossroads Is A Legendary Series
As an artist, when you become successful in a particular style or genre, it can be tempting to take on the “if it ain’t broken, don’t fix it” mindset. After all, once you crack the code and find the winning formula, why mess with something that is working?
However, since first kicking off all the way back in January of 2002, CMT Crossroads brings together two famous artists or bands that might not normally cross paths. What comes of these epic pairings is renditions of songs that blend both styles to create something entirely new.
With over 22 seasons and more than 70 episodes to its credit, CMT Crossroads continues to be a hit with fans, and the show isn’t slowing down whatsoever.

"Dead by Daylight" has become a hit video game franchise, and they've even brought the suspense of survival into the board game arena. For the uninitiated, the multiplayer game finds one player taking on the role of a killer while four other players must try to survive and escape. It's the perfect set-up to make players feel like they're in a horror movie of their own. In fact, "Dead by Daylight" has even incorporated cinematic killers like Ghostface from "Scream," the Cenobites from "Hellraiser," Leatherface from "Texas Chain Saw Massacre," and Michael Myers from "Halloween." But now, "Dead by Daylight" is officially heading into sci-fi territory.
A new trailer has revealed an official "Alien" crossover that will let players try to survive a deadly Xenomorph aboard a ship not unlike the Nostromo from Ridley Scott's classic 1979 film. In fact, there's even a video game version of Ripley in the trailer,...

Mainstream pop culture-oriented content is going through an age of expansion, i.e., more importance is given to interconnected storytelling, world-building, crossovers, and meta-narratives. Studios executives are pushing the creators to come up with more ways to keep audiences hooked, not just with a singular entry but with the entire content library a certain intellectual property has to offer. Therefore, it is understandable that Paramount Studios wanted to introduce their version of a crossover with the beginning of the prequel Transformers live-action movie series as well.
In the recently released Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, after saving the world with his new Transformers friends in a globetrotting adventure, human protagonist Noah Diaz attends a job interview. To his surprise, the interviewer seems to know everything about his past and also about his recent deeds, and their conversation concludes with Noah being offered a job at the covert government branch known as the G.I. Joe initiative.

In Disney+’s latest series, The Crossover, the teenage intricacies of first love, drama, and aspiring stardom reign supreme on and off the court. Based on the critically acclaimed best-selling verse novel by Kwame Alexander, who also serves as the TV adaptation’s creator, EP, co-writer and co-showrunner, the series follows the lives of two teen brothers, Josh (Jalyn Hall) and Jordan Bell (Amir O’Neil) as they navigate life’s many uncertainties from boyhood to manhood. Though primarily focused on the boy’s relationship with basketball, a sport engrained in them at birth thanks to their former professional basketball-playing father (Derek Luke), the series unabashedly tackles serious issues regarding teenage rebellion, self-discovery, disability, and mental health challenges.
Hall told Deadline about the significance of being a part of a series that centers on two young Black male teens. “I believe that realistic and relatable coming-of-age stories are really important in today’s society,...

Disney+ Hotstar sports drama, “The Crossover” puts a strong emphasis on the concept of the ideal family. The series depicts a sports-freak family where there are no limitations on having ambitions or fulfilling them. The protagonists of “Crossover” are twin brothers Josh “Filthy McNasty” Bell (Jalyn Hall) and Jordan Bell (Amir O’Neil), two aspiring basketball players who come from a family where their father Chuck Bell (Derek Luke) encourages them to regard basketball as their ultimate devotion. Principal Crystal Bell (Sabrina Revelle), their mother, might be a little bit tough at times, but she also encourages her sons to follow their hearts and pursue their dreams. Sadly, life claimed many beloved things from this family, continuously breaking them down, but by rising from the ashes, the Bell Brothers illustrated that everything is possible if there is determination toward one’s goal.

In the episode’s main segment (embedded above), Oliver took a deep dive into how cop shows “significantly distort the big picture of policing,” whether that means giving real-life police departments behind-the-scenes input on how they’re presented, or crafting a “false narrative of law enforcement” in which “exceptionally competent cops [are] working within a largely fair framework that mostly convicts white people.”

Mxyzptlk is headed back to Supergirl — but there’s a twist: Thomas Lennon (The Odd Couple, Reno 911!) will now play the reality-bending trickster nicknamed Mxy, who was previously portrayed by Peter Gadiot (Once Upon a Time in Wonderland), our sister site Deadline reports.
Gadiot’s Mxy came to National City from the Fifth Dimension in a two-episode Season 2 storyline, during which he unsuccessfully attempted to romance Kara Danvers. The character’s ability to shapeshift will play into his new appearance in the back half of Season 5.

Here’s the thing: We understand that TV characters aren’t real people, but it still hurts when our favorites suddenly die on us, making the past calendar year especially rough for Team TVLine.
Sure, there were a few deaths we saw coming — like Riverdale‘s Fred Andrews, who received an emotional sendoff several months after his portrayer, Luke Perry, died in real life — but some of this year’s losses were so unexpected, we’re still struggling to accept that the characters are really gone.

The nominees are in for the 60th Annual Grammy Awards, and music's biggest night will feature some of your favorite artists ...though some were snubbed.
Singer-songwriter Andra Day announced the four major categories -- Best New Artist, Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, and Album Of The Year -- on Tuesday's CBS This Morning.
As far as snubs go, Ed Sheeran was only nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance for his track, "Shape of You," to the shock of many of his fans. Lady Gaga and Kesha also received minimal nominations, despite the popularity of their albums.
However, Jay-Z and Kendrick Lamar earned quite a few Grammy nods, as well as Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's "Despacito" song that features Justin Bieber.

While Kevin Feige once stated it was “inevitable” that Marvel movies and TV shows would crossover, that comment is a rare deviation from his standard explanation, which usually sees him diplomatically point to the vastly different development schedules between the small and big screen as a big factor why Daredevil won’t ever rumble alongside the Avengers at the multiplex. Essentially, the TV shows are pretty far behind in the timeline, with even the latest “Iron Fist” referring to “the incident” from “The Avengers.” But beyond that, Kevin Feige’s movies and Jeph Loeb‘s TV shows are being made in completely different spheres; basically, don’t hold your breath for a crossover.

The hugely ambitious Star Trek: Deep Space Nine has no shortage of classic episodes. We have a complete guide for you.
Spoilers lie ahead for Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
Overlapping with both Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Voyager, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine's seven seasons had some very high points, It also had some very low ones that strayed a bit too far from the core of Star Trek for some fans, yet gave the show a unique texture that some savor.
If you only ever watch 25 stories from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, these are they, at least in my opinion – the only rule being that multi-part episodes count as one story (but great big multi-season Dominion flavored arcs don't!)
Many Star Trek fans have long been hopeful that CBS may yet announce the remastering of Deep Space Nine for high definition and thus Blu-ray.

It’s been a surprisingly interesting month of moving and shaking in terms of doc development. Just a month after making his first public funding pitch at Toronto’s Hot Docs Forum, legendary doc filmmaker Frederick Wiseman took to Kickstarter to help cover the remaining expenses for his 40th feature film In Jackson Heights (see the film’s first trailer below). Unrelentingly rigorous in his determination to capture the American institutional landscape on film, his latest continues down this thematic rabbit hole, taking on the immensely diverse New York City neighborhood of Jackson Heights as his latest subject. According to the Kickstarter page, Wiseman is currently editing the 120 hours of rushes he shot with hopes of having the film ready for a fall festival premiere (my guess would be Tiff, where both National Gallery and At Berkeley made their North American debut), though he’s currently quite a ways away from his $75,000 goal.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has revealed its 276-member-strong class of 2013.
The list, published by The Hollywood Reporter, includes actors, cinematographers, designers, directors, documentarians, executives, film editors, makeup artists and hairstylists, "members-at-large," musicians, producers, PR folks, short filmmakers and animators, sound technicians, visual effects artists, and writers.
Jason Bateman, Rosario Dawson, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Milla Jovovich, Lucy Liu, Jennifer Lopez, Emily Mortimer, Sandra Oh, Jason Schwartzman, and Michael Peña are among the roster of actors, while "The Heat" and "Bridesmaids" helmer Paul Feig made the directors' cut.
"We did not change our criteria at all," says Academy president Hawk Koch of this year's larger-than-usual class. "Yes, this year there is a tremendous amount of women, a tremendous amount of people of color, people from all walks of life. This year, we asked the branches to look at everybody who wasn't in the Academy but who deserved to be.

We just discovered from Director and Producer Preston Whitmore (of This Christmas & Crossover fame) that his next project he will be tackling is a new comedy film titled Andrew Jones that will begin filming in July. So far, Whitmore revealed to us that actor/rapper Sticky Fingas will also be starring in the film.
There has been no official announcement of the other cast members of the film, but we think that LisaRaye may also be joining the film. We say that because Whitmore let a statement slip tonight during the Black Noir Magazine Celebration that he and LisaRaye attended tonight in Hollywood- and no, they did not arrive together nor are they a couple. They just took this picture together.
Stay tuned for an exclusive interview coming up with Whitmore for more.

Preston Whitmore has been hired to write Zoom, the new music-themed drama being produced by Brian Grazer and N.E.R.D.'s Pharrell Williams.Zoom follows a troubled West Virginian youth who attends a music academy which allows him to find his voice and place in the world. We're betting that, along the way, he has to overcome snobbish, close-minded fellow students and teachers, but does so with the help of some encouraging friends and a mentor among the faculty. Still, let's hope that it's more 8 Mile and less Step Up, eh?Williams is writing the score and soundtrack for the film, as well as producing. Whitmore previously wrote, produced and directed This Christmas last year (with Delroy Lindo, Chris Brown, Idris Elba and Loretta Divine) and Crossover with Anthony Mackie before that.
